  • Hutch is tough.
    Hutch has size.
Hutch is not the best player in the club, but is always there to fill in when we get injuries.
He plays well enough to keep getting a contract.
The coach obviously sees his value.

Sorry mate. Not knocking the stat's but
8 metres a run, 25 metres a kick, almost 10% of tackles missed plus an error isn't one of the better performers. Hutch is an average baller at best. Good for a fill in but would not be missed if not there.

Not expecting a top 5 spot this year.
We get caught up in the idea of "fast games" and try to play razzle dazzle footy...to our detriment.
We need to slow games down, and make no errors...then unleash our attack.

        • I hope tonight wasn't a snapshot of our completion rates for 2023-the last 3 seasons have been painful.

I dont like losing but i really dont like losing by giving the opposition cheap ball and yardage numerous times a game. So many times the team beats itself-really pisses me off

Play him in the centres and we'll lose.
He's too small for centre BB

Hutch kills the attack, deadset kills it- and is far to slow to defend anywhere but the middle and still there his lack of pace would be a liability. He misses tackles by so much they don't even get chalked up as his miss. Yeah he's a good team guy but a first grader he is not.

Oh f#ck putty also fills a gap - is soft and malleable , is slow to set and doesn't move once it does- can be made into a large blob as well - maybe we should call Hutch Putty?

                        Indeed.
Dumb penalties given away yesterday by Radley and co in tackles...notice Radley is still yelling abuse at team mates on the field for the world to see.
It was the usual stuff we dish up in matches:
                        . dumb penalties given away
. dropped ball, lost ball in tackles, stuffed up play the balls, etc.
. forward passes, incl from Smith
                        . wayward passes
. missed tackles, so many it was impossible to count them.
We beat ourselves in matches...it was 0-26 at one stage.

Unless there's a magical improvement from this Manly trial we'll finish 5th last....with top 5 only a dream.

The camp in NZ was obviously a major waste of time and money.

Can't blame Hutch for the loss, Manly simply ran thru us at pace all match.
Down our wing, thru our centres, thru our forwards, made us look like amateurs just learning the game.

                            Where was Momirovski?

Sorry bondi but if think our season determined by a trial, you must also think souffs will win the comp when they take out the charity shield.

The whole thing was horrible, from start to finish...except for some good play at the end.
The refereeing, our failed experiments with new players and changed positions....and simple mistakes.
