Got me excited for a few seconds there. Unfortunately I’ve seemed to be been baited. Unless there is something more to this. I would absolutely love a player like Leinu at the Roosters

Some small brained league journalists are hunting clicks by feigning outrage at the Roosters' interest in getting Young to the club this year. Andrew Voss, for example, thinks it is outrageous that the Roosters are doing this and asks“What would be the chances of the Roosters releasing one of their marquee players to a rival a week out from the start of the season?”

I seem to recall the Roosters releasing Latrell Mitchell from the last year of his contract so that he could join the vermin. Once he rejected the Roosters, we didn't want him - just as the Knights apparently now don't want Young hanging around. I also recall the Roosters releasing the Knights' current coach half way through his two-year contract with us.

But, as the cliche goes, never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Meanwhile, there's now talk of Penrith putting in an 11th hour bid for young. I suppose the Knights could stuff us around by saying that they are only willing to release Young now to the Panthers. If so, I wonder if Voss will transfer his outrage to them?

I was thinking the same thing when I was reading the article. Vossy has a very short or selective memory
