Anyone remember the game v Cowboys at SFS a few years ago when the scores were....not sure exactly....
about Easts 63 - Cowboys 35?
Been trying to find it on the net.
It was a dreadful night weatherwise....a mini cyclone all the way along the coast.
There were announcements at Wollongong station warning there may not be any transport
back that night. I didn't care as long as I made it to the game. I remember the train swaying
in the wind and rain.
A small crowd saw an entertaining but not too skilful game where the goalkickers
were surprisingly successful.

I'll never forget that. Rose Bay was completely flooded and I couldn't leave my apartment as Old South Head Rd was a mess. I had to listen on the radio and was so excited I remember cleaning my bedroom from nervous energy. There are highlights on the Members DVD which came out in 2008. That was the only highlight of Chris Anderson's time as coach I think. That and our 1,000th win on Anzac Day that year as well.

Did he actually walkabout for that long? Did the club cover for him with "injury" story - I heard he would go missing and turn up just before kickoff, and the club would just tell him hurry up and kit up.

After watching the "Decade of Excellence" DVD you can understand why!
