Guys lay Penrith. Happy to stand by this in round 26.
It is only round 1 and 13 of the 17 Penrith players played in the World Cup so only returned to pre season in Mid January and well it was only a 13-12 loss
The Broncos played well though and maybe a rain affected pitch doesn't suit Penrith's game - It rained also when they played St Helens n the World Club Challenge - Identically score in that loss as well 13-12.
Penrith are still the team to beat though.
Every loss though will have people asking have Penrith come to back to pack somewhat or have other Teams improved - A watch this space as the season progresses.
For those watching Channel 9 - Phil Gould seems to have shed weight during the off-season.
Anyhow, love to see the Riff lose. Cocky shits they are. Broncos didn't even have to play well either. Defended well but turned over so much ball.
Definitely not writing them off though. Rainy game. They need time to bleed the new blokes in. Sonny Luke looks good, Kenny is a dud. Will be Top 4 certainties in my opinion.

To back AGAINST someone winning is called a "lay" bet.
Panthers can't complain about the refereeing.
How many '6 agains' did they get?
Nor can the Eels, Hughes was clearly tackled, arm carrying the ball was on the ground, as was his body, with Sivo's hands on his shoulder...yet Sivo was allowed to then drag Hughes over the sideline, in full view of officials, Eels' ball.

Friend of mine thinks the refereeing so far was biased in favour of some teams.
That is not fair, and not as it should be.
If Nathan Cleary iced the field goal attempt there would be different headlines. They were far from their best but I won't be writting the riff off until they are knocked off in the finals
I know this is a controversial take as Penrith are back to back premiership but I have always found them boring to watch. I know I know this seems crazy but so many of their plays come from Cleary kicks , high completions and amazing defensive energy. Just my take

I always find it boring to watch other teams win.
- 2009/10 Dragons? Boooooring!!!
- Drizz with their stacked team? Booooring!!!
- The Riff's current squad? Booooring!!!
It always feels like we work harder for our dominant periods and get given nothing so have to dig deep. However, this is (of course) because I'm emotionally invested in Easts. Whereas I just assumed the others were gonna win (which to be fair, most assume of Easts).
My only criticism of Pemriff is that they seem to over-celebrate and all be church friends from some local happy clappy joint so their shyte can p!ss me off. Pretty sure I'd be loving that kinda hate coming my way if I was a Pemriff fan though so they play for the crowd.
The above said, a lot of commentators are saying 'I hate Easts but I love the players as they're all awesome people'. IMO there's a bit of class in the way we hold ourselves that the westies will always be lacking.

Not at all. Many highly successful teams have been boring & clinical to watch and that's not sour grapes from me personally as they get honest results.
Give me the 2013 Roosters any day of the week..Harlem Globetrotter stuff..Toups my man of the match..Remember when Canterbury were tagged "The Entertainers"? I was lucky enough to watch Jack Gibson's innovative Eels too as a child with my parents. All those funny plays like The Wall (no, not our old forum ) Ray Price doing his 'praying mantis' pose...interesting stuff for the times.
