The players try their best, but many are just not up to the standard/ability required.

Time now to make changes.
Trent stuck by the players but some have let him down badly.

2023 is gone, time to prepare for 2024.

1. Keep Sam Walker on ice. Let his knee heal completely, we know what he can do.
2. Trade in small players for big ones. Dragons had big players, smashed our small players. Roughed them up in tackles and on the ground.
3. Sign Lodge immediately, he was one of our best defenders.

4. Sell off players who continually keep making simple mistakes, costing us wins. They're liabilities.
This is pro football, not a social club.

I agree that this year is history and that we need to prepare for the future.
I still think Sam should come back in this year when the knee is right, if only to get some more experience under his belt.
I like the idea of trading in some of our small players for bigger ones, but who would want our little guys?
We need to sign Lodge for sure. He was great for his 24 mins last night, strong runs and really hard defence, but then the coach didn’t put him back on for some reason.
We should use the rest of the year to give some of our talented youngsters more experience in first grade at the expense of some of our badly out of form regular first graders.
