Yep I stand by it. I remember that game like it was yesterday. And still Robinson fails to get the players in the right frame of mind. If Politis offered Bellamy a 2 year contract you'd think he'd jump at it. Robbo has run out of ideas. Another rd1 loss to a nuffy club and it'll cost us at the end of the year, nothing surer just like loss to Newcastle last year was so damaging.

What on earth have you got to stand by.

We beat the Storm in the 2018 GF - won convincingly actually.

If that doesn't make you satisfied, then what does?

According to you, a grand final win is a failure.

I think you're trolling. I hope so for your own sake.

It almost sounds like you'd trade in the 2018 premiership for a Rd.1 win. The loss is disappointing and yes we are notorious slow starters to but we will bounce back.

In a way it's great that so many here cannot cope with a loss because it means they are used to (and expect) winning. For those like me who trudged to the old Sydney Sports Ground throughout the 80s and 90s hoping not to get belted, the Robbo era is a fairytale. Wasn't much to cheer about in the Turner Stand for those 2 decades, maybe a Jeff Masterman scrum feed against the feed, or Horrie Hastings left foot grubbers that would find touch!

I just don't get how we look so loose and messy in the middle ? The players don't seem to stand tough shoulder to shoulder and dig in. I mentioned in another post, I believe the team needs a big strong back rower. Angus and Sitilli are injured - isn't there a bargain buy out there somewhere ?

              Robbo isn't going anywhere

              I have 3 major concerns..just my opinion

              1. Zero quality forwards coming through. The pigs the 'good judges' have been talking up for a few years haven't progressed as expected and aren't of first grade quality.

              2. We have no leaders on the field with JWH the exception, although he is injured often and finishing at the end of the year

              3. Keary and Walker, two tiny bodies in the halves who play a similar style of footy...plus their long kicking game to relive us of pressure is park quality. Need to start thinking about who we will target as a buy in the near future as it's proven ROOSTERS CANNOT develop a half, we need to recruit

We also have no on field leader. We were in complete disarray today. Injuries are a poor excuse when you can only complete 4 sets in the 2nd half.
Jared is our on field leader and he was sorely missed today. He can inspire and change the on field attitude just with his lead by example take no shit attitude. We didn't have a genuine enforcer out there today. Radley has lost that element to his game and when he tries to ad hoc he often hurts himself. On that he seems to regularly get his head on the wrong side of the attackers body and weight. Love Rads but someone needs to really work on his technique when tackling.

Robbo's getting out coached a lot the last few years.
If the switch had been made, Roosters for sure! I think Bellamy would be a top shelf acquisition and Uncle Nick knows that. Don't be surprised.

There's no one available close to Robbo BUT he does need to accept his coaching hasn't adapted to the rule changes from 2020, until he does this we will continue to be erratic. As it currently stands we are not on the path to a premiership anytime soon, we are basically a Brian Smith coached side right now with no real identity, purely dependant on a couple of superstars to pluck wins.

And this just proves that no matter what Robinson does you will never be satisfied. Because it’s not about the results for you, it’s about the man, whatever it is he did to upset you.

The hubris to stand by that post after being so emphatically wrong is mind-boggling.

No need to be thinking about a new coach as the players own this performance and they need to be better as individuals and as a team.

It's a simple game - you nail the basics and you give yourself a chance of winning any game and if you don't you end up on the wrong side of the scoreboard like they did today.

I'm glad some people are finally seeing Robinson for what he is. A very good coach but an incredibly flawed coach. Every coach has flaws, but I feel Robbo's come out a lot worse in the wash when things go bad.

You would never ever see a Bellamy team get totally outenthused and bashed up like that. They sometimes have a flat loss where they drop ball, lose intensity due to fatigue, etc. But I don't think you'd ever see the Storm roll up to a game and think they've already won it, realise after 15-20 minutes that holy shit this mob actually are playing against us, then instead of changing attitudes, just packing it in and playing erratic and low percentage footy. It happens time and time again with Robbo coached sides. These players don't become rubbish overnight. He thinks too much about "identity" and "roosters footy" that he loses sight of the most basic premise of Rugby League and that is winning forward battle and having some go-forward in your side.

Will always love and appreciate Robbo for what he has done for us, this club is better for having him in it, but if it was announced tomorrow that he would leave us, I wouldn't bat an eyelid. I would question if who we are getting would be an improvement, as there aren't many that would be, but I'd be interested to see how we'd go when not coached by an intellectual who attempts to overthink every minute detail of the game and got someone in who told the forwards to run hard and let Sammy and Teddy do what they do best and win us games. I think every coach who is currently employed in the NRL would get this side if healthy, into the Top 8.

It's not one game .It's a period of 3 years that we have been a long way behind the top teams .If you are happy to accept mediocrity then good for you but I and a lot of others expect more . To keep doing the same thing over and over again with the same result isn't good coaching.A change is needed .Maybe not the coach but the tactics I'm not sure which but a change nevertheless
