To keep doing the same thing over and over again with the same result isn't good coaching.A change is needed .Maybe not the coach but the tactics I'm not sure which but a change nevertheless

Pretty poor I say as sure the performance wasn't up to scratch but it doesn't mean you have all these knee jerk reactions of getting rid of the coach and certain players though.
It's a marathon not a sprint and sure the increasing casualty list isn't helping but it is up to the players to have a look at their performance as individuals and as a team - what can I improve on and what as a team do we need to improve on and work on these at training and take these into the game.
The basics are letting them down and it all starts with set completions - if you have high set completions then it takes the pressure off your defence - the more defence you have to do the more fatigue becomes a factor- when fatigued that's when the errors start to mount - drop balls / poor decision making/missed tackles/ill discipline (penalties and set restarts conceded) etc etc
44% completion rate in the second half highlighted this as they were continually under the pump defensively and were certainly suffering from fatigue which was exacerbated by the warm weather conditions.
The running up and back in defence does take a lot out of players and of course the less you have to do of that the less fatigued a player will be
They did complete sets at 80% in the First half so they are more than capable of high set completions.
The game is all about who has possession the longest as you will rarely find teams completing sets at 62% winning games.

I have 3 major concerns..just my opinion
1. Zero quality forwards coming through. The pigs the 'good judges' have been talking up for a few years haven't progressed as expected and aren't of first grade quality.
2. We have no leaders on the field with JWH the exception, although he is injured often and finishing at the end of the year
3. Keary and Walker, two tiny bodies in the halves who play a similar style of footy...plus their long kicking game to relive us of pressure is park quality. Need to start thinking about who we will target as a buy in the near future as it's proven ROOSTERS CANNOT develop a half, we need to recruit
I am less concerned about the leadership as I think Teddy has done a very good job and is inspirational with his play but no doubt we have lost our hard edge with Cords and Jake retired.
The last point you made is a big concern particularly in defence as big edge backrowers have a field day running at our small halves and its a massive advantage other top sides have over us. The young souths half-back against the sharks levelled out Tieg Wilton on a couple of occasions who is a very hard hole running 2nd rower. The lack of length in our halves is an issue I've raised previously and really hurts us in the arm wrestle.

Lol ... some of you need to relax and chill the f*ck out
One poor game in "round 1" and you guys want Robbo's head on a spike and a full overhaul. This is the same coach that has got us into playing finals every year other than 2016, multiple minor premierships and three premiership titles, Auckland 9s title and world club challenge titles. Not to mention last year, we went basically "8 in a row" towards the finals before that week 1 finals debacle against Souffs which turned out to be more a UFC match instead of playing footy with troops missing prior to the match and from during the match.
Shit happens ... settle down ! .... At least wait till the end of this season before jumping up and down ffs !

I'd give Robbo about 18 months to sort this shit out. If this year is ANOTHER disaster and next year is heading for a train wreck midway in the season, then start looking for a new coach.Exonerate the West Memphis Three - www.wm3.org
