Where does time go !! To think in a blink of an eye the days of Friend , Cordner, SST and JWH being in our pack are over. Took some of these guys for granted over the years. Going to be a tough pack to replace and maybe we are getting a glimpse of that early this year

No JWH and Lodge out as well throw in a couple young forwards who were dominated be the dolphins pack on sunday means that we are no certainties to win this. The only saving grace is Manu is back in the backline hopefully the forwards have been given a kick up the arse and hutch is pissed off to reserve grade where he belongs we can then see keary and walker start to give quality ball to a world class center and not that turtle hutch if so we might have a chance but i think the warriors will give us a run for our money.

Makes me wonder what kind of job some of them have. Mustn't have any responsibility.
Realistically, we have a huge injury toll. That is causing major issues - it would for most clubs, but extra for us because we are blessed with a sht hot starting 13 when all fit.
More than most other clubs, the injury toll will determine how well we go this season.
We can beat the Warriors this weekend, and I believe we will. But it will rely on some magic from our back 7.
And it'll be a high scoring one too as we'll leak quite a bit. I'm predicting something like a 30-24 win.

I truly believe Hutch should be Captain/Coach & become Uncle Nick's apprentice to finally succeed him one day.

How early on in the season it is and injuries makes me a little less confident we will bring back the Bondi wall on Saturday though.
You're probably right on that scoreline, Roosters v Warriors games tend to trend that way. (Higher scorelines)
Unfortunately I feel that the sooner in game we leak points, we take too long to get any momentum back in order to score our own.
Could go either way but if we end up on the back foot most of the game, we'll lose by 3 or 4 tries.
Let's hope it's the Red hot Roosters vs the wacky warriors.

Man this forward pack is a worry due to circumstances out of Robbo's hands.
As another poster mentioned who do we have to be that dominant leader to lead the team & rev them up when they are standing behind the posts when adversity & doubt set in during the game.
Teddy is too nice & calm. The only other is maybe Radley but he will likely go over the top & probably knock himself out again.
Cordner & Cronk were invaluable to this team previously.

But he needs to learn to keep those emotions in check first.
Maybe in 3-4 years time when he is 28 yrd old he'll be ready.
Concern is, will he even last that long or be forced to retire?
