Usually I don't want Hutch in because he's bang average... but given that extended bench is even worse, the only reason I don't want Hutch in the 17 is because we need an extra forward on the bench. My pick would be Wong. I'm happy Hutch got picked over Allan.

I'd be shocked if Radley played this week too.

You’re possibly right if Connor was available.

But being bog average can’t be that bad because a bog average side did a number on us on the weekend!

FWIW, from the club website ....

The Sydney Roosters squad has been assessed by Club medical staff following their opening round clash with the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium.
Matt Lodge and Victor Radley were both taken from the field for Head Injury Assessments (HIA) during Sunday’s game and were unable to return.
On Tuesday morning, Lodge underwent surgery on an upper facial fracture, with an anticipated recovery period of six weeks.

Radley has been progressing through the return to play protocols with the Club’s medical department and will undergo independent review this week.
Brandon Smith was taken from the field for a HIA during Sunday’s game. The hooker passed the assessment and is being closely monitored in the lead-up to Saturday’s match with the New Zealand Warriors.
Meanwhile, Roosters forward Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is tracking well in his recovery from a lower back flare-up.
There were no other injury concerns for the players that featured in the match.

Geez, it has been said a lot already but that's a very poor pack of forwards, That would almost be the worst pack any team will field this week. Still, not much to be done when you have like five forwards out injured, I suppose.

If we play some percentage football, we'll probably have too much class for the Warriors. Frankly though, we haven't played any kind of high percentage football in years.

Based on how we played last week, and the team we've named due to injuries this week, I couldn't really declare us favourites.

How do we get out of our end if the Warriors are up for this ? It's not like Keary or Walker can turn a bad set into a good one with a long kick. Toops and Suaalii if he was still.in the wing would be the key to getting our sets rolling

                    I think we'll lose by 30.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

We need a big effort across the park. Our back 5 need to really roll their sleeves up and get our sets rolling so the forwards can conserve their energy and aim up in D.

I’ll be surprised if we’ll win to be perfectly honest though. As mentioned, that forward pack and bench is ordinary as I’ve seen in first grade.

I hate to mention the obvious but any more injuries and finals footy won’t be on the menu for us. I anticipate this years comp to be as close as ever. Every team has really improved and they all seem to have so much more depth than us. This is the result of throwing big coin at so many marquee signings instead of getting toilers on value contracts.

All I hope is when our troops start to return we have a good run of no injuries. JWH, Lodge, Sitili, Crichton & Watson can’t come back soon enough.

2018 we lost to the tiggers 10-8 round one. I remember the next 2 months were sketchy but I remember we jagged som tough wins based on defence … 6-0 against the dogs I remember was one. Need to really try and tough out completions and tackles

The Warriors seem to trouble us. Hard to feel any confidence after what we saw last week.

I get it’s round 2 but after last weeks upset and that 6 of the next 9 games are against Souths, Eels, Storm, Sharks, Cows, Panthers - we need this win.
