We really need him with Lodge gone for 6 weeks, and JWH needing to manage his injuries.
He is a ball playing forward who runs and hits hard, plays above his weight.
I don't know what got him on the outer at Parra, maybe his lack of size, and he looked like he was playing injured or had just lost the drive there for a while.
Maybe he was feeling unloved, and maybe this move will put the fire back in him.
If he clicks he will be great for us.
    Luke O'Donnell.....MK2 fingers crossed.

Nathan possesses mongrel and most of the time controlled aggression. He's gotten better with his tempremant in recent years.
Pity he's not playing Friday night because he has niggle in his game which is exactly what we need to do to both Latrell and Cody to upset their apple cart.

Looking forward to Nathan teaming up with Lodge again. They were a fierce duo playing for Tigers NYC.....always in stinks and unsettling rival packs.

    • This signing worries me, Brown at his best was a strong runner with a really good offload but he hasn't played a lot of footy for a long time and is getting injured a lot. Doesn't seem to say a lot for the likes of Wong who impressed me for Fiji in the world cup with extended minutes. Young Preston at the dogs looks like a very good prospect in the backrow now he's been given a chance yet we had him at Norths and let him go.

Anything we can get out of him is a bonus. He's a rough nut. Can never have too many of these.

And it's only for a year, nothing to lose.

          • I think given he will be on peanuts (despite the media calling him an Origin "star"), it won't really hurt us at all. He will either find his best form and we have a tough fker through the middle or he'll flop and we'll not renew him after this season and the Bears get a lock.

Apparently he's been told this can turn into a 2-3yr deal if it all goes well ala Lodge

Wongs number 21 on the bench for NSW Cup this week I think, quick slide.

Talking about potential, what's doing with Big Pappi? Guessing he's just too cr@p to play. However, our potential's looking solid:
                    1. Teddy
                    2. Toops
                    3. Sua'ali'i
                    4. Manu
                    5. Bowlo
                    6. Keary
                    7. Walker
                    8. JWH
                    9. Cheese
                    10. Lodge
                    11. Crichton
                    12. Nat Butcher
                    13. Rads

                    14. Watson
                    15. Collins
                    16. Brown
                    17. May / Sitili / Big Papi / Egan / Whyte / Wongie...etc

To be fair he's also #22 for us and has been promoted to #12 on the NSW Cup team's current list (Karawalevu was named as #12 and shifted to #5).

Not sure what's going on there but I think #22 for the NRL squad means the most.

Preston started last season in Jersey Flegg then got promoted to NSW Cup so you cannot say we held him back. Unfortunately he got a better offer from the Dogs and he has kicked on.

                          • Wong’s defence in the trials was terribly bad.
At least Browns defence will be better.

From what I heard DJ Napski needs a few weeks conditioning before he will play a game in any grade.
