Souffs were rubbish against the Riff last week, which is perfect for their grand final preparations. Round 3 and Round 26 only days the pr-cks ever play their best footy as of late.
Don't fall into Souffs hysteria and think this game is anything more than 2pts on a ladder. It's Round 3. I don't like Souffs but they hate us more than we hate them and that speaks volumes. Don't risk Smith with that niggle if we want to get the best out of him this year. Pray for no injuries and no hammering and i'll be happy.
Brown won't play. He'll come in Rd5 after the bye I reckon. Same as JWH. Expect the rookie bench again of Whyte, May and Baker.

I reckon we have the squad to beat Souths this week.
I would prefer that we have Jared and lindsay on the field at separate times,
going from Jared and Lindsay to Baker and May is too big a gap in experience.
I wish Hutch wasn't there, he fills a gap with not much of anything.
I'd rather have Thomas or Whyte.
But I think we can win.

Re JWH return, think it would be wise to rest him till round 5 if he's hammy is a bit touch and go still, not worth letting a player of his magnitude to us to be set up by a team of mugs...4 points after 4 rounds is a good result....also Lindsay is tearing it up and the young forwards can follow him and step up...our backs need to show some razzle dazzle and let our pack stick to the basics

If we play footy against them then we won't be intimidated by Burgess' thuggery and 'Trell's antics/grandstanding (both of which are intentionally designed to intimidate us as they feed off the hate). That's when Cook/Murray (both top notch players who go under the radar when you're not looking) make gratuitously easy yardage down the middle.
They're a unique team that will be easy beats one week against some random cellar-dwellers and then know how to push all our buttons the next. The new stadium doesn't help because it's LOUD and amplifies all the crowd noises. Dunno how but IMO we need to work on making the experience a lot more partisan. Compared with say a Raiders home game, we seem to be a lot more neutral in our ground management efforts.
