Absolutely right SC... No structure, poorly prepared... no game-plans, ramshackle organisation, devoid of set-plays...

You almost have to start to wonder if the coaching staff actually "care" about this club, or are they just waiting for the redundancy cheque?

In my view, we are the worst coached team in the entire National/Australian Rugby League Commission Telstra Premiership or whatever the hell its called these days.

Ron can be dug up out of the ground too then! He's still coach better than the current imposter.

By the way John, remind me again who is your choice of coach if we were to change...

          Daniel Anderson.

Proven winner. Anyone that pisses Parra off is good enough for me.

The problem is that Smith has not accepted the game has changed, low percentage football, defence, the wrestle and set plays wins games.... its boring BUT expansive football can not cambat it!!! These one out dummy half runs by our backline is bullshit the forwards should be carting the ball up not Perrett, week after week and we still dont get it?

I think Smithy needs to send us all a letter like that nice Ricky Stuart did back in 2002.

He needs to see out the end of the season at least. We chew through the coaches here. Doesn't exactly make us attractive to any coach, let alone "super coaches".

This has my vote for Smith's replacement.

I reckon there is some merit in your suggestion Johnny boy.

For a start, Ando did excellent things at a two previous basket cases (Warriors and Parra).

Secondly, he loves Easts and his parents are die-hard Rooster tragics.

Also, Parramatta's treatment of him was poor and it would be good to see him redeemed at another club.

Lastly, in some ways Daniel Anderson reminds me of a young, late 1980s Gus Gould.

Well spoken, excellent football brain, passionate.

John, I like the idea and I think it should be pursued further by Easts.

Would another coach, with our roster do better ? I really dont know the answer to that. Has Brian lost the dressing room ?

See I look at Newcastle and certainly the past 2 weeks they have been lower than ordinary, even under the great Bennett.

I like Ando but I'd rather see someone fresh and young and who has a point to prove, Ando's teams are streaky like Brian, they either click or are shit - it'll be more of the same same under him. Trent Robinson back from Catalans or Jason Taylor for me, both with whatever staff they want.

Brian Smith's future for is as a football manager rather than head coach, he's just so far off the pace - his coaching this season is reminiscent of Opes return, and you saw what happened there.

I'm sorry but Anderson is a Smith clone.

                              Let's look elsewhere.

In this day and age, if you want to be a "super club", and you want to challenge to win premierships every season (which I assume our club management still wants to do???)... you need a "super coach"...

Paying over the odds for a good coach will reap benefits... look at St Merge.

For mine, if we don't throw the entire Easts Group at Bellamy, we are nuts.
Agree. If we can't get Bellamy then I think we need Ricky Stuart back...
