Disappointing to see Smith’s comments in the media telling fans to go get ****ed.

I’ve never really bought into the ‘you shouldn’t be laughing after a loss’, I know I’m a wet wipe after a loss but I also respect different people react in different ways and it’s not always representative of their care factor.

It is disappointing to then see him come out and respond to fans who still have their right to make comment or give their opinion.

I just don’t know if he gets it.

I mentioned previously that Turpin has added way more value to the squad over the season for less dollars.

A couple of months ago when our season was really unravelling I thought that his comments on a podcast about having the best squad on paper had actually put pressure on the chooks through the media before a ball was kicked.

His body language on the field sux about as much as his dummy half service.

Why are we asking 3 other established spine players to mould their game around this Strom scum who is really starting to stink like the recruitment of the Mason Bulldogs business circa 08?

He's not Jake Friend nor ever will be. I concur the Verills horse has bolted as mentioned.

But we're all waiting for a proper off season with us (he's already had one) to mould our entire squad around this guy's attacking prowess who according to some is actually a lock.

He was one of the 3 players I picked pre season to fire and take us far in this competition. Collins, in my opinion has played well, Keary is 50 50 (I agree with the SJ comparison as stated by R6) and Brandon has offered **** all.

800K? It reminds me of that postcard drunk Homer sent to Marge about the 5 dollar pretzels.

Injury aside, he has not justified his 800K salary.

Not an unsubstantiated rumour at all.

Smith, Munster and some other clown from Melb were issued breach notices by the NRL for the “ white powder video” that was released after their season finished in Sept 2021. They were subsequently fined and suspended by the NRL.

Does he not know that without the fans there is no game and no $800k salary? I’m not sure he’d enjoy being a Labouer.
I know he can play great footy, we’ve seen it before at Melbourne, but he just doesn’t seem like a sensible fit for the culture that’s been built here. We need good players that are decent human beings and at least half smart. It seems like there’s a few roos loose in the top paddock with Cheese.
