Just because we loose our lock does not mean we must move Braith there and buy a new 5/8. We easily have enough depth in our back row to fill the spot. With Ahern, Maubs, Cherro, Symonds, Willie, Hall, Koups, Sa and not to mention Conn and Hargreaves on the way. So no we do not NEED him, but he will help to have around. Just like an extra front rower will. As we do not have depth in this role. All we have is Frank Paul, Waqa, Kennedy, Masoe, Paea and Myles. 3 of the 6 I don't think are even ready for first grade just yet.

Don't get me wrong I want Carney at the club, he will help so much. I'm not debating that
I was just debating how you can say we don't need a player where we lack depth for say 50K but your fine in accepting a player worth 6-7 times the amount which will lead to having to push our captain to a position where he isn't comfortable and where we have depth.

I just don't see the logic
