It was mentioned previously that we do better in a free flowing game, whereas the scum benefit from a stop start interrupted penaltyathon.

I noticed Gerry gave them a few piggybacks out of their end against the riff.

Pathetic propped up club. Win something on your own for once, 1913 anyone?

Hopefully the complete opposite he's served up against them the last few years.

Someone else pointed out their 1 premiership win in however many years..53? Biggest ever welfare trophy in the history of the game. JT called it earlier that year and so did I..

Not much to show for their presence in the modern era..

Cool, calm, professional and aloof..that's how to play it tomorrow...

Don't go blowing a gasket in round 3...it's just not worth it...keep it clinical and smart..no niggle or temper tantrums..

Just hope we don't go too crazy like we did last year. The win in the last round was very expensive.

I'll wish everyone a happy game day now as I have work very early in the morning, so won't have time to see Thirteen's game day thread..

I really do think we'll have their measure this time..here's hoping..

Last year we played very aggressive yet legal and punished Latrell in the back who then went into his shell... then Latrell came out and whined about people booing and we went soft on him by saying sorry and the week after he embarrassed us... let’s hope we approach it like the former.

Go about our business and somehow try to take the emotion out of it. Leave that to the fans! I hope Jared and Victor Rads keep cool heads. Hopefully last year's anger management classes pay off. I cannot wait to get out to Allianz - our home - tomorrow! It should be a cracker.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

I hope we can slow down their ruck tonight because every time we play these pricks they win the ruck and play so fast it looks like touch footy. As it is only round 3 i just want to see the boys really pressure them and defend really well our attack will get better as the year goes on. They rely on trick plays from cody and latrell and that bloody left side of theirs id nearly play napa on the bench purely to take codys head off.

I think you're right - however if that's not working we should try to take a few heads!

Robbo believes the key to victory will be Hutch getting time at both centre, lock, dummy half and 5/8.... oh and Roosters footy!!

Hutch shouldn't be playing against the rabbits - besides being a handbrake to our attack - A hutch is where domesticated rabbits live and I don't want them feeling comfortable.

Numerous calls on this thread to slow down the ruck.

Way, way easier said than done, particularly with Sutton, who has never given us anything like a fair go when we've had him against vermin (I think he volunteers to do our games).

Last week we actually won the 6 agains and penalties against NZ - they slowed us down big time and were constantly offside - see bit just on half time when we took the tap from a penalty - warriors were happy to give up set restarts with a couple minutes to go. A sin bin was warranted but none forthcoming - in fact the ref just gave up penalising them in the second half as they wore him down.

If we try that tonight, Sutton will have us playing with 10 or 11 men in no time flat.
