The facts start where the game ends - never so true. Even though they held the Wazzas, without Lodge I was pessimistic. Jaz and the Cheese, whom I've also doubted after 2 games, showed them the way to go and May looked good. Even Hutch was deft, someone like him is invaluable, he's got smarts and experience. I expect to see him there for the season.

I said earlier, if we complete at 75%, make 90% of our tackles and get 50% posession we can win any game

This was the match we really needed to prepare us for the season. Loved our desperation. It was classic. Very tough game mentally & physically but we came through with a win. It’s a very good sign. And excellent coaching by Robbo. He knew exactly what he was doing. Great use of our bench. Also a big congrats to Smith on his virgin try in rooster colours. And Toups edging closer to that record.

What a sweet win.

I've got to give Robbo credit with the switch he flicked in the boys to start the way they did. Even though I feel his game strategy was forced by circumstance, JWH returning with Smith coming off the bench also was the key to winning this. Turpin was so good early and has been since he donned the RWB.

With the exception of the cheese, buy of the year. He wouldn't be on a lot Jake 2.0.

I haven't seen the Roosters attack the ruck through the middle third so early in games before. Smart play to avoid the smothering, cheating ref assisted scum who tonight could still flip us over and steal the ball in tackles that went unpenalized. They are the anti-thesis of pride. Cody Walker makes me shake my head. Can't forget Sutton at his game management semi-best.

We were in the box seat until Manu didn't hear the six again call. Then penalty then repeat set then try. And try.

Although we held that 10-nil for a while. The longer we held on the better I felt win or lose.

Collins again awesome. Teddy with the incredible linebreak defense. Love the Roosters with how TOUGH and FAIR they can play. There's still some greenhorns in the side but they'll be better for all this experience.

Halves looking better every game. Better execution. Walker has definitely added some range to his kicks.

We finished stronger. 2 weeks in a row now, although Robbo mentioned they still have to work on match fitness. I thought the scoreline at 20-12 was a better reflection of the game.

Such an Important win in the context of the season. They try to shut us out of the top four with games like this.

Was nice to find some early season form and apart from Keary being isolated a couple of times in defence and JP's early lapse I thought the chooks were holding there own with JWH and cheese warming the bench.
It was good to see Paulo finish strong and Turpin looks like a more then handy foil for the cheese , id would say he is every bit as good as Verrills.
May and Baker held there own too.

Fantastic performance from JWH in particular. Also really stoked with May, Collins, Smith and Paulo. All terrific. No idea why many on here seem to rag on Collins.

General population don't understand how good JWH is. Easily, comfortably, without any doubt the best prop of the last 10 years, factoring in longevity as well.

When Crichton and Lodge are back, along with Watson and Sitili later in the season, we're going to have a monster team.

Got to also give kudos to Latrell for nearly kicking that 40m field goal from dummy half.

Please don't be like the commentators "probably the only person in the game who could of kicked that" after he missed short and wide hahahaha - hilarious Mitchel love fest - last week he did a regulation pass to their winger who beat three blokes to score a try but the winger got no mention from the commentators just the brilliance of the Mitchell pass that was deadset stock standard.
