Since we are now getting into ironic territory I will add Jordan Tansey and Sonny Tuigamala.

He had a fallout with coach Laurie Freier and went to Souths after the 1983 season for a year before signing with Manly in 1985.
Marty had a booming left footed torpedo on him Horrie, he didn't lose out on many of the old kicking duels at the sports ground( weren't they a strange tactic from yesteryear.)

Any love for Matto? Really came into his own in 2018 and he's consistently been one of the best forwards in the game since he left us. Would walk into our side.

Historically it's gotta be the raid from Manly in the early 80s.

            My best players:
            Coote
            Latrell
            Wing
            I think you are right.
Stuart stuffed up big time bringing Finch here to play halfback and moving Wing to hooker. Finch stuffed up regularly.
I think Wing should have stayed at half.
Finch should have never worn our colours.

              RTS cut deep.

Seeing Salvo play for Souths also hurt.

Didn't Gibbs initially come from Manly?

Did Les Cleal follow Noel across?

1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

No Gibbs came from Wests Newcastle to Easts.
Les Cleal only played the one year at Easts before going to Brisbane Brothers, he did have a stint at Widnes in 1986-87.

Used to love the old kicking duels between the fullbacks, Yes Gurr did have a booming left footed torpedo punt on him. Other exponents of the kicking duels i remember were Alan McMahon, Graham Eadie Greg Bretnall and Ross Conlon.

Absolutely.. Nothing beats that shocking outcome.

                            Matto is a cat

what sort of team player chooses a three or was it four week suspension over a 3000 dollar fine? Disgraceful decision by him and one I think of made at the roosters would see him labelled never to be played in the top grade again. His team mates must have lost all respect for him after that.

I can handle him going to union. Would be pretty upset if he went to another NRL side.

If Suaallii helps us win 2 premierships in a row, I won't say a bad word about him.
