This is a convenient re-writing of history.

2017 whilst might have been the season Joey Manu finally got a full crack at first grade it certainly wasn’t his break out year. The general opinion of him on here was that he was never going to make it in First Grade as he couldn’t tackle. He was dropped because of his defence, not because of his age.

If age were the issue then Robinson would’ve also dropped Latrell Mitchell who is one year younger than Manu and was playing in the same back line.

It's not convenient for me or any Roosters fan to re-write anything that makes Robbo or the club look poor without any merit behind it. I definitely think Robbo looks at lack of experience (better than saying age in blanket term) which he also believes to correlate with poor defence at times. Has done it with forwards aswell.

Do you correct your husband as much as you correct everyone else on here?

Yeah I see your point but if we're specifically talking about "Junior Pauga" ... well he's "27 years of age" and he's been playing footy since 2016 albeit, reserve grade in Queensland and in NSW at best, but he's definitely not considered "youth". Does he lack experience at first-grade ... yes ! ... could that be a risk/gamble ... also yes ! ... but there's only one way to find out and as I stated previously, he looked pretty good in the trials so why not give him a crack aye ?. Worst case, carry Hutch on the bench as the second utility and if Pauga screws up then sub him off and throw Hutch into that centre spot.

PS: In Robbo We Trust ! (f*ck Gus Gould)

Experience would factor in anyone’s estimations when picking a side, especially big games and finals games. But I don’t think it would hinder him in picking someone in a Round 5 game if he thought the were ready..

Junior Pauga’s biggest issue with making it into this side is he’s almost exclusively a left side centre which is the position Suaalii currently occupies. Given that Joey Manu is only out for one game I don’t think moving Suaalii to right centre, to play Pauga would be a worthwhile disruption either for Suaalii’s development at centre or the team’s cohesion.

A few months ago you said I couldn’t get chicks, now I’ve got a husband.

Please stop projecting your relationship issues onto me, it’s weird.

I'd have been OK with Momo at right centre. He has always been a right side player, with us, the Storm & the Panthers. His issues playing last year were ALL on the left side. IIRC he played at least one game on the right and was MUCH better than he had been on the left ... I remember other posters saying that he had a much better game that week. That said, he's been named for the Bears this week (on the right), not in our squad, so he is not an option.

I don't see any real value in having Allan on the bench, although it wouldn't be the first time we've carried an outside back on the bench. Looking at the squad, Hutch will remain the utility but start at centre. If he's required elsewhere, Allan comes on a centre & Drew then plugs the required gap. It's not my preferred option, but it looks like Robbo is going that way.

thing about playing hutch in the centres is that if we have an injury somewhere else he can slot in and allan can go to the centres. ben thomas is solid but his form hasn't demanded that he be picked

For sure. But always likes to put others opinions down and attempt to prove them wrong.

And I stand by that. You’d be too much of a controlling type to be in a relationship. I’m guessing you are definitely single, probably live with your parents too, most likely work alone and possibly still a virgin but I’m not too sure about that one as you can pay for it.

Yes on a discussion forum I disagree with opinions I differ on and will challenge people if I think they’re being dishonest.

In this case I read all of HucnhoRooster’s posts and gave him the respect of considering his points and taking the time to write out mine. I thought he was being loose with the truth when he said Manu was dropped because of his age but as he said later it was a poor choice of words and experience would’ve been the better choice of words, which I agreed with him on although not sure it is the case with Pauga due to the reason listed above.

                            It’s not that deep.

How do you have the hubris to criticise me for putting down posters and then 30seconds later post this kind of dribble.

                              Make it make sense Thirteen.
