  • No Cap Space for JWH

DT article by Buzz claiming that we gave JWHs money to Spencer Lenui as we didn’t expect for JWH to go around again… must be quiet over at DT headquarters

    SHOOSH

Another barnstorming performance from big Jared Waerea-Hargreaves against the Parramatta Eels has left the Roosters recruitment and retention team with much to think about. JWH is off contract this year and the club has already used his cap money to sign Spencer Leniu. There is now talk that JWH wants to go around again next year.

If he wants another year the club will find a way to give it to him

Exactly... this is just a silly April Fools thread. JWH will leave when he wants to, entirely on his terms.

Very poorly handled if there is any truth to the story

I’ve heard that’s it’s very unlikely that we’ll be able to sign Lodge again. I think his payments from the Warriors are finished after this season. Hopefully we find a way.

In another thread I said that with Dom Young coming next year we have a surplus of outside backs, and I wouldn't be surprised if we let Suaalii go to union a year early to free up money another forward. It makes even more sense now.

JWH has 18 more games to reach 300 NRL Games and 24 more NRL games to reach 300 games for the Roosters

                  Current Stats for NRL Games

                  282 Games

                  Manly - 2009 - 6 Games

                  Roosters 2010 to Present - 276 games

                      My take.

JWH will replace Ryles on coaching staff as Ryles will be appointed Storm coach

Cant see JWH playing for another NRL team so if he doesn’t coach next year he will go to Catalans and then return

We would get the cap dispensation from long service if he wanted to go again. Plus he is one of the very few that can call his own shots.

I will be shocked if he plays next year though.

would love to see jwh run around for us next year but it's a tough call if we have to make the choice between him and lodge, who has years ahead of him

Lodge is looked after by Moses. Maybe that will work against him now.
