pretty sure they changed the rule this year, where you need to regain possession of the ball before putting it down(maybe)
Not applicable here though. Coates fingers were closest to the ball yet on contact it bounced away towards the ground and touched before Coates regained downward pressure with the fingers.
Can't say his fingers definitely left the ball, (they only showed one close up angle from the side?)
Olams was a clear drop. Harry Grant reefing his hands out when Tupou lost it was typical storm dark arts. Most players leave their hand there in fear of being penalized for a strip.
Melbourne spoil the ruck and game. It's like watching 17 Josh Hodgson's out there.
Sorry Josh.Formerly Stringaz, from the old Wall!

What an incredible football club Melbourne are.
They lose 4 top line forwards & are without 2 of their best NAS & Paps & come out & smash us.
You can hate them all you like but man you gotta admire their tenacity. How Bellamy has had them firing for 20 years is incredible.
To think some people thought the Storm were not going to make the 8 is laughable they are serious title contenders AGAIN.
Anyway Go the Chooks.

When...will our handling errors, bad passes, and sin binnings end?
They just keep on happening...nothing ever changes.
Hutch tried his best, as he does every game. Manu should never have been moved from right centre.
Suaalii's only position is right wing.
Can Paulo play left centre?
Next up, the Dragons, with their big "barge over the line for tries" forwards.

I like Trent as a coach but sometimes I think he's a little too nice...Last edited by Bondicigar; 04-07-2023, 03:34 AM.

We were leading on the scoreboard until Racley was binned?
***
Changes must be made to the team...Dragons beat us last year...Hunt putting Molo over under the posts.
We need to start the game with every big player we can find...Radley can go to the bench and come on later in the game...or have a week off for re-education.
Suaalii must be FB or right wing.
Ben Thomas must start the game, he's tough and can tackle.
If we play the same team as last night we'll lose our Anzac Day home game blockbuster at Allianz...what a disaster that would be.Last edited by bondi.boy; 04-07-2023, 07:49 AM.

Souths already tried that experiment

it's not that bad, we r not that far off. Manu at Centre, Lodge & Angus to tighten centre. Sammy & Keary my biggest concerns atm, 1 can't kick and 1 won't tackle. Causing bad imbalances.
Melba prob get pumped by Womanly next week. They left a lot on park last night.

The complexion of the game changed when the pass from Radley to Collins was called forward when it wasn't, we would have been in a great attacking position instead Melbourne got the ball down the other end and Radley had his brain explosion and was sin binned and the rot had set in then.

Melbourne got plenty of good calls, 6 agains, missed knock ons, missed forward passes,
and we got suspect calls twice when lost balls were possible strips
but that shiit is normal for us.
We got lost, tried too hard, especially Smith and Walker, made mistakes, got flustered.
We didn't play to the conditions, slippery ball and ground.
We showed plenty of guts, but not a lot of smarts.
It wasnt our night, but not a death sentence either.
We can make a few adjustments when we get Teddy, Lodge, Angus and yes Momo back.
We won't have to play Hutch in a role he can't handle.
Plenty of blue sky ahead.
