Huthcinson is rubbish.
Lots of tries scored near Hutchinson.
YES! I knew it... Hutchinson is SHIT!Formerly Stringaz, from the old Wall!

I'm not against criticsing Hutchinson, my argument here isn't that he was good tonight. It's simply that we shouldn't scapegoat and that the criticism needs to be proportionate.

I was wanting Robbo to hook him for Allen but who knows it may have been worse.
Paulo is by far more cemented in our starting backline without reverting Sualli (which I dont want) than Hutch should be at centre. So we have to persist.(with Jaxon) I bet my bottom dollar Jaxon will do better with manu inside him.
Just sayin, no disrespect to Drew.Formerly Stringaz, from the old Wall!

King Sally has a Hutch sympathiser gimmick going at the moment so allow him to play it out. He is trolling. Nobody is that mentally impaired to think Hutch is a high quality player.
I've been critical of Hutch in the past few seasons, namely because he is a back up half and nothing more. The obsession Robbo has with trying to make him an Aubo 2.0 is annoying. I feel bad for Hutch though because he is trying his best and is only doing what the coach says. He is nowhere near being a centre in any first grade side let alone ours. Was a traffic cone today in defence and looked slow in attack. He is a back up half and nothing more. Shouldnt be in the 17 next week. Teddy back will push him at least to the bench.

Not sure why the Hutchinator cops it- pretty ordinary to single out one player in a team sport
I don't think the performances of Manu/Suaalii/Paulo/Radley/Walker/Smith/Toops for instance in the Storm game were anything to write home about - I had to look twice to see that some Roosters players were actually playing such was their limited involvement in the game
In watching the game the right side seemingly was only defended by Walker. The Hutchinator and Paulo at times - The sizeable gap between Walker and the Hutchinator was very evident which raises the question of where were the other defenders for that side.
The Storm attacked down the right side because of the limited defender numbers and were creating 5 or 6 on 3 when Grant ran from dummy half and linked with Hughes and Munster who had Olam outside them and Meaney Chiming in and Coates on the Wing.
Joey Johns and Cam Smith demonstrated this post match including how on the left side Roosters Players were still getting back on side even - maybe the reason why Walker was defending further in from where he usually defends to cover for others who should been defending there.
The indecision of Paulo in defence in coming in and or dropping back in D when he should have been doing the opposite was more noticeable tonight than in other games as the Storm obviously had a plan to exploit this.
Not a fan either of defenders going to marker to have a rest when they are still defenders. - That's lazy defending as is still getting back the 10 when the opposition are playing of have played the ball
Certainly have some work to do on the basic fundamentals of the game - 2 steps forward the last couple of games and 3 steps backwards tonight

No WAY do you genuinely, hand on heart, think Paulo has been a consistent issue defensively. Do you watch the games? Other than the intercept attempt last week (when the game was dead and buried), and maybe being caught out tonight jumping in early (because the two inside men were in absolute no mans land), he’s been rock solid. In fact, in the first few games, it’s been our left side that has looked more fragile. Slow poke next to him doesn’t help at all, because by the time he reacts, it’s already a 2 on 1.
He has a habit of letting his winger get on the outside of him too easily and I see it on plenty of occasions even when nothing comes from it.
ROUND 3 Vs Souths
Link: (24) NRL Highlights: Roosters v Rabbitohs - Round 3 | NRL on Nine - YouTube
- Pause at 1:16 simple 3 on 3 and Paulo gets caught worrying too much about the inside players and loses sight of his winger, Latrell throws a simple cut out and Johnston strolls in for a very soft try
- Pause at 4:04 Again, 3 on 3 this time under some more pressure as Walker & Manu's starting positions are not as good as the first example but Manu and Walker are sliding hard he needs to trust his inside men and mark his winger instead he ends up marking no body and a linebreak occurs.
