Good looking team. With Angus and Sitili back in soon we’d be at almost full strength. Also, so good to not have Hutch in the centres this week.

So nice to have some extra power on the field when the starting props come off.

only outs baker one game for hia, toia and Watson to come back
I can see them bringing Gus back in a few weeks against the Warriors, less focus on him with the game being over there

No doubt we can win this one. Just gotta do it on the day...

IMO filling Teddy's shoes is harder than people think. Yes Manu / Sua'ali'i have the physical traits (and a LOT of smarts too), but Teddy's captained at all levels for a reason.

The Sharks will be right up for this game as they have had 2 weeks to stew over the Warriors game.

Teams train with 12 or even 11 players to somewhat replicate sin bins or send off's but there is no training you can do to replicate when your up 20-0 after 18 minutes

Certainly not something that happens on a regular basis - so much time to go in that game - 62 minutes.

I wonder if teams/coaches talk about this in regard to what way they will play when having sizeable leads early in a game.

Some will continue on in the same vein and others might have a mentality that's it 0-0

Also, I don’t care if he is now considered a plodder, it’s great seeing Dylan Napa back for us again.

JWH, Lindsay, Lodge and May. That'll do me.

Hutch in the 17 over a specialist hooker. Our coach living vicariously through Drew again... keen to see him play 8 minutes at snails pace.

Good to have Lodge back. Dont know why Napa is in the same pic as Brown and Angus. Questionable from the media team. The bloke should be nowhere near our first grade side this year.

Cmon Easts! Big game required. Confident of the win.

I find it wholesome when guys like Lopini Paea, FPN and Napa rejoin. While it’s unlikely that they crack the first grade squad, it’s great seeing former Roosters come back into the fray. It’s an awesome reflection on the club when these players (who probably can get richer contacts in the UK or shitty NRL teams) take up low-income offers to rejoin the red, white and blue. Id imagine also that it’s a morale-booster for the playing group as well.

Was Turpin playing a 'modern front rower' role like Watson, with Lodge being his replacement?

As much as I like Robbo's forward thinking attitude... I like having a traditional front rower on the bench and not an unused winger/centre.

I forget who it was…but one poster put forth the idea of running big Papi on in the last five minutes of our next game against soufs, and having him smash fatrell to oblivion (if he got suspended for 6 weeks it’d be worth it).

The bench can't be considered that strong if it contains Whyte.
