Most influential/controversial referee in the modern game?… stats would be interesting to see who have been his main “beneficiary-ies” … a good company man!
8-2 penalty count to vermin tonight, leaves Murray on the field after a late high hit, his second reported offence of the night, and bins a Dolphins player in 60th minute.
If by influential you mean a corrupt cheat of the worst kind, then yeah.

Fittler pointed out that one of the Storm tries came from Grant holding up our defensive line by "double dipping".
It's obstruction on another level. One thing that grinds my gears this season is the amount of forward passes that get let go.
Now while they are not crazy forward, teams (mainly souffs) are helping themselves to a good half metre off the ruck.
Captain Cook, Grant and Josh Hodgson are the worst.
I've seen us disallowed tries off legit passes, it's insane.
yea souffs did exactly what we should have done. the dolphins line up is rubbish and we were way to piss poor in round 1 to beat them, we should beat them by 30 on our worst day.

Anyway… Let’s go Roosters!!!
RWB
E2W
Actually the Roosters are in the black under Klein
Since 2009 Klein has refereed 56 times against the Roosters - under dual and single referee periods
The Roosters are one of 7 teams with a 50% or greater win ratio under Klein
Fans of Easts complaining about biased referees/game managers that allegedly contrive results according to their personal favourite team, or sometimes according to who is putting the pennies in their pocket. Every team has fans that complain about this prejudice you may say. It is just a knee-jerk reaction to what you perceived as bias or a misinterpretation of the rules. Perhaps you claim that no one is perfect, including the referees who are paid to be as perfect as possible. Remove the bias that you have for your/our team, and you will see that it still happens with every other team. Every week.
This fan reaction has always been attributed by the NRL and the media as being a readily predictable reaction from fans of a losing team. In reality it is only because the fans are correct in their assumption. There is no other profession where the supposed professionals will constantly be monetarily rewarded for their incompetence. In this day and age, considering that the NRL is nothing more than a business, they are going to give you the results that they think that you want, not the results that really should have been.

Are you implying that the game is rigged by the League and Refs are part of the fix " considering that the NRL is nothing more than a business, they are going to give you the results that they think that you want, not the results that really should have been "
mmm so the 2018/2019 Premierships were fixed ?
Interesting
Players make mistakes in games though so in your words they should not be monetarily rewarded either for their incompetence as after all they are full time professionals and train x number of times a week for x number of hours each session to achieve a certain level to be able to nail the basics of the game.
Blaming the ref/umpire for a loss has been the favourite past time of supporters of the losing team/player ever since organised sport commenced whether it be Rugby League/Union/AFL/Football/Tennis/MLB/NFL/Cricket etc etc etc
You do get a different perspective of a sport when you go into referring and or umpiring though and anyone who thinks they can do better should be encouraged to click on the link below.
The stats of % wins under a ref are pretty irrelevant imo. They at the very least need to be compared to win % over the same period in total to see if there is an improvement or dip in performance under any one particular ref. Not suggesting this would show a bias or not - I don't have an opinion myself if we perform any worse under Klein than any other ref or all refs bar him. However if our win % since 2009 say was 66% and under Klein it was 62% that would be more telling.

The push in the back to Euan Atkin by the long tall streak of pelican sh*t -Campbell, was a penalty anyday of the week.
If it were Easts that scored that “try” the bunker would have been all over that like white on rice and disallowed it….but with the scum, they award it straight away.
Just sayin’
I honestly believe some teams (ie US) are more thoroughly scrutinised by the bunker when it comes to reviewing tries…’have seen them go back 4 tackles prior to a try being scored by us to find something to disallow….am I alone here?
I had to chuckle to myself the other day. Stumbled across a bulldogs fan page and they were blaming Gerard Sutton for their loss against Souths (they got beat by 40 ffs!) and commented that they have a poor record under Sutton in recent times. This ignores the fact they have a poor record regardless of the ref in recent times!!!
