There's no doubt that the team has issues.

It's a test for Robbo. Soon he will have a full strength squad. I look forward to his philosophical views on how it will change.

He's been linked to the Clovelly Crocs Under 8s as the photographer. Wide distribution network and apparently has a good eye for the juniors.

He’s got to be allowed more opportunity to play his natural game though. Whatever/whoever they’re trying to turn him into isn’t working yet.
He will never be a success under Robbo. He will never develop under Robbo, the only part of his game that has slightly improved over the years is his goal kicking. I like the kid and want him to do well.

The rooster style is fast becoming outlawed so we need to look for a diffferent playing style.
He had an underwhelming year last year too

How often do you watch a Roosters game these days and think… wow that was a great performance

Not if but when the chooks find there form like they did last year this conversation will be long forgotten. It will start taking shape if and when we get all our forwards back and available for selection.

Are we allowed to criticise this team and coach now? You never can tell with some around here

Last week we got thrashed by an average Storm side and I was told by one genius to calm down because they are just really good lol

This week we got run over by a side that gave up a 20 point lead to the Warriors

Robbo deserves a lot of credit… he has been able to put together some great sides in his time here… but he’s not a great coach… rarely gets more from less (like a Bellamy does)… needs a stacked roster to win anything… and even then (our side last night was almost full strength)

He fixed our errors last night with a good completion rate but it wasn't an advantage at all.

Zero points 2nd half against a Sharks team who have a bad defensive record.

How about he fix our discipline so we are defending less & have more energy in attack & keeping players out of the sin bin.

Robbo is becoming a mad professor via his experiments seen last season and now in 2023. He is a complex guy but not hard to figure out.
The 2021 season saw him have to use nobody’s who performed admirably but none of them really were given a chance last season. It’s like he has classroom pets. The game has changed in many ways and particularly with the fantastic contribution by the Pacific Islanders. Ive been at after game catch ups in the members and I’ve heard it mentioned numerous times by Easts followers is that we have a lack of them being selected in the forwards. Last night is an example.

That word right there Eggy is probably my biggest criticism.

The boys are looking gassed after 20 mins these days. What is with that?

One sat on the bench all game and didn't get a run. Nobody in the media has asked him about his method of keeping an unused sub on the bench.

When you have to defend for such long periods it's only natural they run out of energy. The penalty count was 7-0 against after 30 minutes.

If the Sharks have a 7-0 penalty count after 30 minutes again, let's see how many points the opposition leak compared to us.

Any team with a player as slow and unskilled as Hutch constantly being picked in the top 17 has a big problem.
Also any team with the two Butchers regularly in the starting 13 has a big problem.
Combine those two and you have a team which will never win a comp, probably not a finals game.
I am not criticising the players, Hutch, and the two Butchers do their best, but their best is not good enough to justify the positions they have been chosen in.
Yes you can say that they are only there because of injuries to Gus, Sitili and Watson, but surely good roster management could have prevented us being in this situation.
It's amazing that we have a TEAM which includes NINE out of the top 13 players who have played origin or internationals..... and that's not including Gus or Sitili, yet we need them to come back to win a game.
When I watch us I see a group of very talented, highly paid individuals, but not a highly talented TEAM.
