It’s well documented the change of personnel within the coaching ranks so in light of that Robbo maybe still adjusting to it. Personally I don’t find the Ryles and King combo convincing. King was our water boy some seasons back and we now BMoz so it makes me wonder if it will repeat itself. Matt King I think is a good guy but he comes across as a yes man.

The inconsistency and lack of discipline can only be the coaching. We have a great team on paper but we don’t get the problem.
Freddy, arguably our greatest ever player, should be sitting on 5 Origin series wins in a row due to NSW’s massive talent advantage. He isn’t.
How good’s Ricky’s coaching career been since Freddy retired? One of the top 5 halfbacks of all time, I wouldn’t let him coach the local under-13s

This is just ridiculous. You realise Robbo and Bellamy are the two most successful coaches this century and were mediocre first graders at best.

Bellamy played a lot more first grad that Robbo. If Ricky had the players we have he would be doing a lot better and coaching origin during the season is a completely different beast to coaching an NRL side week in and week out.

So our GURU coach's best decision is to drop the halfback and keep filling a space with his love child Crutch
How about doing some actual COACHING...... GURU ?
What is Walker going to learn in reserve grade ? NOTHING.
He played the halves out of position for more than half of last season
This year he decides Swahili is a better centre than winger...... news flash COACH...... He's NOT.
I bet Skeletor is on the blower today seeing if we want to do a swap for Milford and get Sam out of his contract immediately.
He dropped Mitchell after a few poor performances, and yes Mitchell was dead lazy, still is, but he's a game breaker, like young Sam
now playing at another club, probably like young Sam will be.
He needs to COACH the players around him to work WITH Sam,
he needs to get rid of the Crutch.... yes I know he tries, and I stuck up for him for the last few years, but he is not a first grader in any position.
Man I am so piissed off about this.

I'm apparently the biggest Robbo hater going because I have audacity to say that he isn't perfect and when we don't win comps he has a small part in the reason why. (Shocking I know)... but some of the names getting tossed up on here are rubbish lads.
Robbo is still in the upper echelon of coaches. And his average first grade career has nothing to do with being a good/bad coach.
Billy Slater talks well, got QLD up for a 3 game series as rookie coach and obviously is an all-time great but how does that translate to premiership winning coach overnight? Would be insane to get rid of Robbo for almost anyone. I'd probably take the following over Robinson and nobody else:
- Ivan Cleary if it meant Nathan Cleary joined him (mainly due to the reaction of every other fanbase in the comp).
- Bellamy under any circumstance as he is a better coach than Robinson
- Fitzy if Robinson fails to win a comp in the next year or two with Suualii before he departs and Manu/Teddy in their prime.
Anyone else would be a downgrade.
