There isn't much wrong with the heart of the players. I guess defending your line most of the game takes its toll.

We also have a serious issue when we actually have the ball in attacking positions.

Penrith were gifted the game last night. In saying that, they are clearly the best team in the NRL.
Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

No he would have started a post saying the Knights have more heart than us and we should replace Robbo with O’Brien.

do you honestly believe he'll contribute anything of worth?

I know he's younger than Lodge, but I cannot see him bringing anything to the table.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Do we start Parra and Raiders have heart threads or do we just put the 8 winners in this thread each week?

We had heart when we beat Souffs a couple weeks ago but lost it the last couple of weeks. Hope we get it back next week.

Napa is 30. Lodge is 27.
If Napa plays first grade then we either have a stack of injuries to JWH, Lodge, Collins, May, Baker, Nbutch, Ebutch and Brown or I will get on the Robbo has lost the plot bandwagon.

we beat Souths with a fair bit of grit, out of curiosity, did you praise that effort?

I get the frustration of losing games, especially when we should of won them, but I also appreciate it when they win.

Support should go both ways, and I agree with some of the stuff you post, but I can’t remember a single post of praise from you.

you’re a strange cat Mr Stehr.

And yet we came back from 8-0 down to lead. And if Lindsay’s try was awarded would have hit the front again. Stop catastraphising. Your argument doesn’t really hold water.

Fks sake I thought was negative. Support the Roosters. Give other teams credit where it's due at times but comparing Riff, the latest shiny toy to us after a couple losses is rubbish. Im fairly new to the forum. Pre-Robbo, did we get closet Storm and St George fans on here aswell?

Penriff are an excellently consistent winning machine but I get no joy out of watching them. They can't score off a blistering attack in the blink of an eye like us. They milk penalties. They drop to the knees and they ice games off the back of 6 again calls. They do it better than everyone else in this modern age and that's why they have won 2 comps. We are in our own lane doing our thing. Give it time. Ivan Cleary is a good coach but is also an absolute knob jockey who thinks he's the best thing going.

Nathan Cleary is a great half-back. Give our future great half back the time he deserves. Penriff were running 12th when Cleary was Walker's age.

Penrith seem like they’re all 22 and built like second rowers.

They’re young, strong and seemingly uninjurable.

Perfect for high impact, high speed collision NRL.

That squad is the envy of every other team.

Has been for the past three seasons.

                          We are not that.

                          But nor is anyone else.

We showed plenty of grit against a lopsided penalty count and add the disallowed try I reckon we won against all odds. Also put Cleary as our number 7 and we'd be top of the table. Surely Robinson can't do much else with what we've got.

I cry when we lose, I can't watch replays after a loss, I don't watch anything NRL when we lose. The hurt is deep. My biggest moment of grief came after the 2004 gf. How did we lose to that scum of a club? Right now we are supposed to be at the height of our powers but all we get is clunky, Ill disciplined garbage. Our only good performance came against Parra but even then we let them score 2 late tries to make the score look close. All I hear is guru Robinson saying the Roosters way and I know that after origin is when Robinson flicks the switch and we suddenly become the team to beat. I want us switched on from rd1, I want us to win games we're supposed to, I don't want to suffer for the first 3 months of the year. We can read this team like a book. Every year is the same. Robinson got it badly wrong last year, with those 4 games that we should've won, we finish 2 or 3 and we go deep, who knows we maybe could've jagged a premiership instead of going out pathetically to souffs. I believe it's time for Robinson to reassess. People who suggest that I enjoy losing have no fi. I probably hurt more than anyone else. I've seen them win and lose gfs. 72,74,75,80,2000,02,03,04,10,13,18 and 19. I saw them all. For us to be a true juggernaut we have to be ruthless but at the moment all I see are glorified couldn't give a toss training sessions.

What exactly do you mean by this? What do you want him to do?

I remember back in the 80s longing to have what Parramatta had- but we were such a rabble of shit it took 20 years to win a GF. We aren't Penrith-we dont have their junior base, playing roster and the best player in the game....but your comment (#22) that the " Roosters are a absolute mess " is way off the mark. Yes we need to be better- a lot better....if not then Uncle Nick will reassess- but until then i'm 100% behind the team and coach
