I’m hopeful he gets a bench spot but I don’t see it happening.
What does dropping Walker (when he isn't the primary issue/concern) achieve though ?

None of this makes any sense ... what's the point in having Walker on the bench ? How's that going to boost his performance or turn things around for the team and the form ?

I'm just as f*cking confused as everyone else is here but f*ck me ... Walker isn't the issue nor should he bear the brunt to be dropped and cop shit from the media.

Meh. Robbo dropped Manu and Trell as well. They turned out ok.

Team is massively underperforming so lets drop the 20 year old halfback who rips in every week instead of the veterans who have been playing like utter sh-t for the whole season. While we are at it, let's keep Hutch in the side at centre, he's been doing such a good job.

Nothing would rile Radley up more than dropping him for an ANZAC Day game. Would be perfect opportunity to get him to open his eyes back up. Best thing for our season is if St George roll us this week with Sam missing.
So if we lose you will be happy as this will set us up for the rest of the year?

Not sure what exactly he learns from going back to reserve grade. He has tackled his ass off this year and yeah he may have missed 8 tackles last week but I have been super impressed with his defence for most the year. Putting his body in front and making good contact with plenty of one on one tackles aswell.
Defense is only half of the game though and even though he has to do his share of D he is there for the offense side of the game. Whether the increasing workload in D as a result of being targeted is affecting his offense is unknown - 30 tackles and 8 missed tackles vs Sharks compared to his opposite in Hyne - 17 tackles and 1 missed tackle

I would say his output in offense is the issue and not only for him but for the other spine players too - Tedesco/Keary and Smith. - Roosters 16th in points scored and 15th in Line Breaks

Current Stats show 2 Roosters players in the top 50 for line breaks with 3 each - The Mercurial Hutchinator and Sam Walker

Certainly the spine as a unit - Tedesco/KearyWalker/Smith have been below average performance wise so far this season and being players that handle the ball the most in games the focus will always be on them as the lynch pins of the offense.

If they don't fire in games then the creation of points scoring opportunities are limited and then scoreboard pressure mounts.

Whether Crichton coming back and Sitili on the bench will improve the offense is unknown. - Other players such as Radley who is a noted ball playing lock and Manu need to do more in offense - Manu was to have a roving role in offense but that was canned earlier on and he is more like a shag on a rock at right centre waiting for the ball.

Walker is still in the 22 though so we will have to wait until the 24th April to see if he survives the cut to still be in the 19 on game day

If so Coach Robinson may wake up on Anzac and decide to reinstate him in the side

I think there were two strips from walker weren’t there? Penalised for both. I suspect that may have a bit to do with why he was dropped. Robbo would see that as a lazy option I reckon, looking for a cheap turnover.

So,Sammy misses out on one of the biggest games of the year on Anzac Day when others around him have been playing a lot worse and keep getting picked..On top he’s our goal kicker..

                  I don’t get it!
I don’t think this is about dropping Sam Walker to improve the team, I think this is about dropping Sam Walker to improve Sam Walker.

Unless there is something going on behind the scenes that has contributed I can’t see this lasting more than 4-6 weeks personally. Remember we re-signed Walker to a new deal only a few months ago.

Robinson does not make rash decisions but he has dropped very talented players for development purposes. None more so than Joey Manu the player who will replace Sam Walker.

Couldn't agree more. Keary needs to take responsibility. Walker did a lot of tough tackling and clean up work. Keary has av kick metres 134. Mitchell Moses is 521. Dropped the wrong guy. We have no one with a long boot.

Would’ve been more on board with a team wake-up call if Rads got dropped too.

Great to see Angus and Sitili back.

I can't remember the 2nd strip. I do remember one deep inside Sharks territory when we had Butcher in the sin bin. Sharks challenged the call and earned penalty, kick downfield, and score.

Yes I agree with you mate

I just think this is the best game on the calendar for players to play in and it’s a little unfair for Walker to miss out when their’s clearly a few others down on form who keep getting picked!

I will re-live that moment perhaps when I scored 5 tries in that hard fought 110-0 win against Lithgow Street Bradbury in under 12's - 2 from 2 with the boot as well

It was a junior club record for the Mighty East Campbelltown Eagles until a certain other player beat it and whose picture and signed jersey is no longer on display in the Mighty East Campbelltown Eagles Club House

Well said… We forget this kid was thrown in way earlier than planned due to injuries. Halfbacks don’t really hit their straps until their mid twenties look at Thurston, johns, Cleary . There is no doubt he is the future of the club going forward and I have no doubt this hasn’t come as a huge shock to him I’m sure robbo has been having convos with him

I actually suggested this last year but got shot down by the forum. Best call be Robbo for a while but Hutch should have been the first trigger pulled.
Yes I think I was probably the main offender against you there mate. I think I was prob a bit petty in calling you out after he had a good game.

I don’t mind Robbo decision this week. Having said that keary really needs to stand up now
