As much as it pains me to say, I think Hutch in at 7 is the best option with Joey back in centre and Bondi Jo back on the right wing. Billy & Toops on left, Brown at 13.

I agree. We need to start building combos. Joey is too predictable at 6, constantly runs the ball which hurts his outside men. At least Hutch can help Keary with the kicking game.

In saying all of this, I don’t know if the Hutch/Keary combo is capable of winning games and we have come to the point where we need to string some wins.

This will be a test for Robbo to see just how good a coach he is.

The Robbo pile on is warranted until he proves otherwise. No he can’t control injuries. But I still have no idea why Walker was dropped, I thought he looked good in patches and it wasn’t worth unsettling so many positions & pre-season combo’s.

He isn’t getting hammered for no reason. He has a team full of guns, all which are well underperforming. We should be challenging for a minor premiership and be sitting pretty in the top four. But instead we are going to be chasing hard to make the top 8 (again).

If you’re happy with missing finals, or scraping in just to get bundled out in week 1 that’s fine but I had much higher expectations this year.

With all due respect R6 your constant defending of Robbo is becoming extremely boring and tedious..

We are all allowed our opinions without it being classified as stupidity (in your words)

Walker should be playing this week if not for the Coach’s stupidity and stubbornness!

              What a depressing take.

If I was his manager I’d be advising him to ensure he is no only 100% recovered but also 100% back to fitness before entertaining first grade again.

He has a decade of football ahead of him, but it’s not clear what club that will be for at this point

              • I’m sceptical if Sam is even injured, probably just a ruse.

And while I’m there, how did Brandon Smith injure his hand? It was heavily strapped before he played and it was a fairly innocuous movement that sent him from the field.

Dont use injuries as an excuse now, Robinson fuucked this season, not injuries. Anyone who can't see that is reaching the ultimate heights of stupidity.

If Handbrake at 7 is the best option for ANY club, then they are a rabble.

In a blow for the Sydney Roosters, halfback Sam Walker’s comeback has been delayed for at least another fortnight to three weeks. Coach Trent Robinson was hoping he’d return for the game against the Bulldogs next Sunday. His recovery from a knee injury is going slower than expected.

This is not at all surprising to hear as a sprained ACL is nothing to mess around with you simply can't rush Walker back and risk a complete rupture if they put stress on the weakened ligament.

I thought the timeline was a bit out of whack when first announced as Mitchell Lewis from Hawthorn had the exact same injury occur during their preseason this year and he was sidelined for multiple months.

Definitely not worth the risk, better to take his time and recover properly before returning to the playing field..

Obviously tempting to rush him back when the alternatives are Hutchison and Manu at 6,but better for the Club to be cautious with this one…

Exactly. But I suppose if he did do his ACL proper, people could just blame Robbo.

Do you think your constant bashing of Robbo is become extremely boring and tedious? You've certainly whinged more than I've defended.

Why is it ok for you to label Robinson's opinion and stupidity but I can't label yours as stupidity?

                            C'mon Lydon... bit of consistency.

Personally I think that's weak, I think Walker has more integrity than that.

                                Clearly didn't read the post.

I'm not using injuries as an excuse and won't, I don't think our injury toll this year has been that bad.
