My TiT is decreasing.
What I am about to say may sound strange, but I believe that it is more to the point in saying it this way; If, before the season started, Fitzgibbon had dismissed the entire Sharks squad and replaced them with our 30, I reckon the Sharks would currently be on or very near the top of the table. I believe that Fitzgibbon was the cog in our well oiled machine that made us roar. This opinion is not a knee-jerk reaction to the demotion of Walker, although it hardened my belief that Trent, brilliant coach that he was, is possibly losing his magic.
You can counter my argument by pointing out the poor performances so far from certain players, and I wouldn't disagree with you. I would though suggest that the coach is partly responsible for getting the best out of the players. Relegating Walker may be the right decision, we don't know the absolute reasoning behind it. I think it is a bad call. With ST & AC back in the team we will be a much more formidable team. I expect us to convincingly defeat the Dragons and I hope that Walker is only being rested for the proper reason. Not happy that the game is still a week away.

Walker is a fine player. It was after the Radley sin bin we lost the game. If anyone needs time off to fix his playing style it’s Rads. Suualii also was hapless and did bugger all for our attack. The $5 man is another that should be dropped. But Walker even on an off day tackles his heart out and kicks goals for us. Robbo should be embarrassed bullying the little guy out of the team when his own coaching performance has been terrible to say the least. Poor Sammy. I hope he doesn’t get dropped.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)

The team was spent in 2nd half, after all the sin bins and huge penalty count,we had nothing to offer in attack. When the game was in the balance he put on the slug at hooker who offers sweet FA! So they put all the blame on the young half back, that will farking do me.Robbo should drop himself,he still can't come to terms with the new rules. Our attack is a reflection of the coaching. The world is full of Kings & Queens, who blind your eye's & steal your dreams!

Sam can work on improving his game now with less pressure.
He can continue to work on building muscle.
He can continue working towards being a 90% kicker.
Walker dropped...who said the coach is not under pressure.
Walker dropped...should mean "nobody's place in the team is guaranteed"...including winger Paulo, who lets tries in outside him, another one against Sharks.
Including Radley, Suaalii who is not a centre, that experiment failed, whose place is on the right wing, ...Manu who continues to rush out of the defensive line leaving a hole, and others.

I hope if he gets dropped he doesn't leave and go play for the Dolphins.
I hope if he gets dropped he takes the opportunity to have a rest and work on his skills and body building.

The problem is that Keary and Walker are similar players who play on instinct and eyes up footy - Neither are either a controlling or organising half.
You can see how the Cronk and Keary combo worked - Cronk the controlling and organising half and Keary playing his instinct and eyes up footy so neither got in each others way and their roles were defined - no blurred lines on what their roles were.
Chook Pen Favourite the Hutchinator is a controlling or organising half - the only other half back with this trait is Sandon Smith.
The Keary and Walker Combo will still have issues going forward due to them being the same type of player - Whether they can change either of them into a controlling or organising is to be seen.
One would say it is too late for Keary to change so it will have to be Walker.
