If we lose Walker to another team because he’s been offered up as a sacrifice for the limp performances of a few of our more celebrated players, I will lose my effing sh*t. That kid has been one of the few who has consistently tried hard this year. What a way to reward the effort.

Keary is good enough to play either half… but he is best as a running 6… best on the edge… where he can use his pace… though he has lost a step… which is why he isn’t as effective anymore

Wow....Rainbow Robbo must be a DEATH RIDER now...there is no harsher criticism on a player than dropping him.

Looks like all the critics were right, and all the fake high horse holy than thou riders (eg. Triggered Banana Rooster36 and the like) were wrong as per usual. Seems like everything wasn't hunky dory after all. Running at 50% wins ain't good enough, even Robbo knows that now.

Sam the scapegoat for our poor forward performances this yr (excluding Collins and JWH)...especially the back-row of the butcher boys. Nat is best as a middle forward i.e lock, even though he can't ball play before the line. Half's needs forward dominance, we all know that.

Sam at worst should have been dropped to interchange. Who would u rather come on when the team needs spark and flair, Sam's flair or the plodder hutch with just plod? Plod don't win games.

This could be a master stroke by Robbo by dropping Walker.

It could stop - Radley going to the sin bin, Teddy running around in circles, our discipline, our completion rate, Paulo coming in off his wing, Suaalii playing better at centre & maybe even winning a Rd 1 game.

To be serious I love what Robbo has done for the club & he has my eternal respect but still stand by the view that his coaching has been in decline the last 2yrs.

Don't you think that the back end of last year showed that there is nothing wrong with Keary & Walker as a halves combination?

Our attack looks cluncky AF, but that's not just because of Keary & Walker, it's also because Smith is still learning how to play with them & Teddy, and they are still learning how to play with him. Just like when Cronk arrived, it is taking time to gel. We don't need knee-jerk reactions, we need time to develop the combo's.

When do you make the change though - If you leave it too late you may not be able to resurrect your season in time.

I am not sure that working out combos can still be used after 7 rounds into the competition though as Tedesco/Keary and Walker for instance have played together enough times and they would have been working on this new spine combo pre-season and at training leading up to every next next match.

For example Penrith have a new dummy half in Luke in their spine / Dolphins have had several new combo's in their spine who have never played with each other before and they are winning games.

I think it goes a bit deeper than the combo's taking time to gel though

It could have been a combination of switching Keary and Walker plus Watsons new role and E Butcher's impact in games and a change in fortunes that was the catalyst for a change in performance and not solely switching Keary and Walker.

Winning is a habit as they say and no doubt teams gain increased confidence when winning consecutive games or going on a winning streak

It could also have been the fear of failure that spurred them into action - The playing group as individuals and as a collective suddenly realising that they could miss the finals if they didn't pull their fingers out and start winning games.

None of this makes any sense ... what's the point in having Walker on the bench ? How's that going to boost his performance or turn things around for the team and the form ?

I just don’t understand the logic of not naming him but then backflip ping and playing him and adding all this external, irrelevant pressure for no reason.

Our biggest problem of recent has been Radley. So many sin bins just inexcusable yet Robbo won’t drop him.
