Walker/Keary not regularly taking on the line has been part of the attacking issues this year teams have been able to confidently slide without fear of either taking off on any given play, having Manu at 6 will cause opposition defensive lines to respect his threat to run.

I anticipate Teddy sniffing around for the ball after a Manu break . Bring it on !

I agree mate. The media has whipped it into a frenzy. He's a young half who has some amazing talents but is still learning the finer tools of his trade. That can be hard to do when you're under constant scrutiny in the toughest competition so it makes sense to give him a spell if he's down on confidence.

Tough situation as our halves have looked down on confidence and haven't been setting the world on fire nor have some of our other big guns in the backline

I’m not disagreeing with you but I just want to say that contracts only work if both parties are happy. With Sam being from Qld there is always a chance he will return to Qld.
If the Chooks were going to stay with the Keary/Manu combo & they’re winning then it wouldn’t matter if it was rd 1 or rd18.
Personally I think Sam will be back in FG at some stage because Keary will get injured.

I share your concerns NSK. I think Walker is a remarkable talent. I just hope we don't screw it up. Also hard to know what is really going on.
