The decision is Trent's alone...bet he's praying it works.
I wouldn't have gone so far. I would've included Sam in the 17...so that if plan A didn't work I could launch plan B.

Axed Rooster Sam Walker will see how much support there is for him from the club when he runs out for his NSW Cup appearance on Sunday.

His mum is flying in from Queensland to watch him and will join Roosters coach Trent Robinson and some senior players.

Most significantly, the club’s billionaire chairman, Nick Politis, will be watching the clash with the Dragons at Wentworth Park, and that’s as strong a show of support as the young man can get.

You have to have the coaching quals for starters and of course experience - Community Coach and Senior Club Coach as minimum quals- They also have High Performance Coaching Courses - limited numbers though - Re-Accreditation required every 4 years

I completed similar courses in the early 1990's through Western Suburbs Magpies back in the day - ARL times - Level 1 and Level 2

The Wok Warren Ryan ran them and was assisted by Wests Players of the day such as Jason Taylor/ Jim Dymock/David Gillespie/ Jamie Ainscough /Paul Langmack and Terry Hill

I actually wore an old Roosters jumper for the practical side of the courses which didn't go down too well with some of the Wests players and other attendees one has to say.

Anyway they were really good courses and old Wok Ryan was a very smart operator imparting his vast league knowledge onto the attendees.

Well they do think that - so they should contact the club - just pointing out the minimum quals required.

All supporters should actually complete a basic coaching course and referees course and then they will see neither are easy jobs

What nonsense - it's not under 7's where in my day parents would confront coaches in why their kid wasn't playing/why some other kid was playing and why they were playing some position etc

The league are pushing for no scores being recorded and no finals and grand finals for junior footy up to under 13's

How ridiculous is that - we played on a full field from under 7's and had finals and grand finals and you had to work for your position in the team- none of this we have to play everyone the same amount of game time rubbish.

Players have to man up and take any demotion on the chin and work harder on their game to get back into a side

They can point to other players who have cost us games, get outraged they weren't dropped instead, throw a tantrum and go elsewhere for more money.
