I mean the coach picked him for the 2 away games against stronger teams like the Storm and Sharks away, yet decides to drop him against one of the weaker teams this week which should’ve been an opportunity for Sammy to work on little things if needed in a game where the forwards should dominate and give him room..

Their must be more to this story, maybe more senior players have been involved!
    Or none of the above

Purely a decision based on form in KPI areas - the stats we are privy clearly show why the decision was made and of course Manu needs his hands on the pill more and bringing him in closer so this occurs is the correct decision.

It's not based on one game

One could ask why Walker and not Keary - Keary's stats stack up better in KPI areas plus he is vastly more experienced and a triple premiership winner.

The underperforming spine has been put on notice somewhat that they need to improve.

B Smith will come under more scrutiny if there is no improvement - not saying he will be relegated but could well be moved to another position or to the bench.

To me, that means Walker's dropping makes even less sense because he is bringing in an out-of-form player who has been injured for the entire pre-season but has selected him over Allan and Hutch (thank god) who have been involved with the team through both trials and the season to date. Bringing Momo in purely because we need someone to kick goals shows that the Walker decision is probably more than tactics and there is something more to it. Becuase he has altered the team a fair bit to get him out of the side, even dropping his favourite player Hutch.

Worth noting I'd rather Momo at centre over Hutch, not by much though.
          - black and white decision - Walkers KPI's were down and not just in one game -Walker needs to take it on the chin and work on all aspects of his game simple as that.

Maybe. But I'd say from a pure black and white KPI perspective, there are a number of players that need to be dropped then with Walker not the first on that list.

100% spot on,otherwise it’s looking like Robbo’s playing favourites which is a massive issue!

Hmmm you seem to be targeting Walker now with stats that can be read as subjective.

He hasn't been that bad at all & is the future of the club.

                    Unlike your man Hutch.

Anzac Day , full house sold out, standing room only, the most publicised sports event of the year we see Robbo go for Walkers jugular to to make the poor guys humiliation so sensational that Sam undoubtedly would be wanting to tear up his contract. Any other day but for a coach to humiliate one of his own players so publicly is inexcusable and Robbo needs his head examined. Not Anzac Day when we stand up for our mates and not publicly disgrace and humiliate them. Sorry Robbo I can’t believe you’re in your right mind acting so impulsively on Anzac Day of all days. Robbo needs a reality check. Sam - go where your talent is respected and appreciated. Any other day I’d agree. This is a dog act in my opinion. Poor Sam, I feel terrible for you. Robbo should have dropped Radley instead.

I Agree. Sam has been one of our best players whilst Radley keeps losing us games yet Radley stays and Sam goes? Looks like maybe Brisbane secretly spoke to Sam. I can’t see any other reason he’d be dropped so publicly being shamed and humiliated on the biggest day of the year. It’s something else not just form.

He didn't publicly humiliate Walker in any way. If getting dropped for poor performance is considered public humiliation then Walker is far too soft to be playing our game in the first place

Most here wouldn’t know that Stumpy Stevens and Johnny Peard switched a between lock and 5/8. Even Fittler when he first arrived played lock with Andrew Walker as 5/8. Radley the imbecile would go ok at 6 and could be cursed with wearing 13.

I am sure their KPIs would be reviewed but they wouldn't be comparing Walkers KPI's with say Radley's in making a decision to retain or relegate either from the team

The Butcher Brothers cop a lot of flack on here but their KPI's justify their retention in the team based on what their roles would be.

If it was decision of either Walker or Keary to be relegated based on particular KPI's then it would be Walker

I.E Running metres per game - last 4 games as a block- Walker has seemingly forgotten the running side of his game- taking the line on for an example as Coach Robinson alluded to in the statement below these KPI's.

Not just there to catch and pass - need to showcase your full repertoire in offense

Manu and Mitchell were relegated from the side and came back better players and Walker will too

                                Running metres - Pass Receipts

Walker - Average Running Metres per game - 35.25

                                47 - 53
                                28 - 38
                                35 - 42
                                31 - 34

Keary - Average Running Metres per game - 82.25

                                77 - 44
                                131 - 55
                                76 - 36
                                45 - 37

" I felt like he needed time to work on two things. I want him to run our system completely in reserve grade and free himself to find parts of his game that he has always had," Robinson said.

"I wanted him to go and rediscover that. The path to freedom is playing through your system"
