Anzac Day , full house sold out, standing room only, the most publicised sports event of the year we see Robbo go for Walkers jugular to to make the poor guys humiliation so sensational that Sam undoubtedly would be wanting to tear up his contract. Any other day but for a coach to humiliate one of his own players so publicly is inexcusable and Robbo needs his head examined. Not Anzac Day when we stand up for our mates and not publicly disgrace and humiliate them. Sorry Robbo I can’t believe you’re in your right mind acting so impulsively on Anzac Day of all days. Robbo needs a reality check. Sam - go where your talent is respected and appreciated. Any other day I’d agree. This is a dog act in my opinion. Poor Sam, I feel terrible for you. Robbo should have dropped Radley instead.
I'll back Robbo (for now) - Sammy has been out of form, particularly his discipline so in my opinion deserved to be dropped.
This is probably a clear warning to the others that they are all now on notice, so let's see their response tomorrow!

He hasn't been that bad at all & is the future of the club.
Unlike your man Hutch.
Zero points have been scored in the second half of the past 2 games and only 106 points for after 6 games (yes they have had a bye) - the so called spine are underperforming in creating the points and points scoring opportunities in offense so a change had to be made
Need to take the emotional attachment away one has to say and look at the big picture.
Team selections are not based on if a player is liked or not though and thus ignore their performances over a period of time.
If particular posters on here were picking the team - The Hutchinator , The Butcher Brothers , Radley , Momirovski , Keary(because he should retire) , Sitili (because he misses tackles) . Suaalii (because he signed with Rugby) . Collins (only plays good for QLD) , Baker , Whyte etc would never be picked let alone be at the club.
Coach Robinson knows what he is doing having been at the caper for long enough now

1. Dropping Walker will only be effective if Walker was the only problem with the team.
2. The outrage is not about an emotional attachment to Sam Walker but to an emotional attachment to the Roosters, and it is a "big picture" view. This decision has the potential to cause long-term repercussions for the club and I'm not on board with anything that jeopardises the club's ability to perform in the future. I don't think I'm alone here either - Nick Politis was out at Wentworth Park yesterday "to show his support" for Sam, why do you think he NEEDED to show his support?
3. If Robbo was actually looking at the "big picture", he would not be paying such minute attention to the stats and be more worried about losing Walker altogether at a time when halfbacks are hard to come by, and Keary is one head-knock away from ending his career. If Sam is to be running the whole thing in the future, they might want to treat him like he is one of the emerging leaders of the club, not the expendable junior.

2. None of us know what the message from Robbo to Sam was so you're just being melodramatic. And Robbo was out there watching too, because they all know Sam is our future. He just needs to sharpen up a few areas
3. How do you know this is based on stats? It could be purely based on Sam ignoring game plans and instructions from the coach

I cant see our centres and wingers getting much ball . It looks like Robbo is planning an all out assault up the middle with Manu and Teddy playing of the back off good ruck speed and scattered defenders.
Sporst bet tip , Teddy 3 or more trys , Manu anytime tryscorer into Roosters 13 plus

The Butcher Brothers cop a lot of flack on here but their KPI's justify their retention in the team based on what their roles would be.
If it was decision of either Walker or Keary to be relegated based on particular KPI's then it would be Walker
I.E Running metres per game - last 4 games as a block- Walker has seemingly forgotten the running side of his game- taking the line on for an example as Coach Robinson alluded to in the statement below these KPI's.
Not just there to catch and pass - need to showcase your full repertoire in offense
Manu and Mitchell were relegated from the side and came back better players and Walker will too
Running metres - Pass Receipts
Walker - Average Running Metres per game - 35.25
47 - 53
28 - 38
35 - 42
31 - 34
Keary - Average Running Metres per game - 82.25
77 - 44
131 - 55
76 - 36
45 - 37
" I felt like he needed time to work on two things. I want him to run our system completely in reserve grade and free himself to find parts of his game that he has always had," Robinson said.
"I wanted him to go and rediscover that. The path to freedom is playing through your system"
That's utter guff from Robinson as per the norm of late. Stats don't always tell the story. The Butcher Brothers shouldn't cop flack because they give it their all every week and contribute positively to the team. Egan is playing out of position in a makeshift role and Nat has been defensively resolute on an edge for nearly a full season now given Sitili has been out for an extended time.
You seem to be pretty harsh on Brandon Smith at times, which is not completely unfair but I'd like to see his stats in comparison to Hutch who spells him at times playing hooker? You call him mercurial a lot. Do you have Hutch's number of tackle breaks or top speed reached in a game for statistical evidence?
