We have the cattle to still launch a serious challenge. It will depend on whether our Coaching staff can get the team playing with purpose and confidence, and to their potential.

Sold out crowd on Anzac Day, the biggest ticket in town, biggest sporting event in Australia today. Epic close game, imagine the ratings those last 20 mins. We prevail 27-26 in a field goal thriller. To be replayed on the highlight reels forever.

Other teams have stock photo images of soldiers printed on their jerseys. We have a lighter shade of blue because of dye shortages DURING THE ACTUAL WAR.

Another very great day to be a Roosters fan.

Penrith gifted a game against Knights and they get an all heart thread.

We come up with a gutsy win with some shocking decisions against us and we are going nowhere.
FFS we have some losers amongst our supporters. It will be a hollow premiership for some this year.

I said it before get on now before the current odds get lower.

Wait till the Warriors towel us up in NZ.
Exactly. Spot on since Dragons are odds on to finish 16th. Warriors will cream them big time if the RWB play like today. Very poor performance.

Agreed mate. Not our best game but we fought hard with 12 players in a situation where the 'ref' blatantly made-up a shoulder to the head call.

While I get it that we suck right now, we're still very much a team to beat. Going nowhere? We're equal 3rd believe it or not. It's a dense start to the season and we're very much in the running.

I’m happy with every win we get, learn to enjoy the journey a little bit more.

I can tell you I am enjoying this win a f-load more than some of my Dragons mates. I'll sleep much better than them tonight

At this stage of the year any win is a good win, especially against the Dragons!

But I do get the slight concern in performance considering the talent in our squad.

In my opinion it’s on Trent and the coaching staff to get the best of this crop of stars, let’s judge once we get to September!

I think our success under Robinson has made some forget how much it hurts to lose.

I’l take a played poor and won every day of the week.

I think some are missing the point of the thread and some of the home truth opinions us "fake fans" or "losers" have. I think some of us take this team for granted or take winning for granted. Which is funny because that's what I am getting accused of by being a harsh critic of the team and the coach.

This side is excellent on paper and is an amazing collection of players. You have the Australian captain, best fullback of his generation, a backline with a freak athlete who will only get better outside of league, the 2nd most prolific try scorer in near 120 years of club history, the current golden boot winner and Kiwi fullback, a 3 time premiership winning half, a 300 game legend at prop, the current NZ hooker and 2021 Dally M hooker of the year (very important award to some it seems), QLD starting prop, 2-time premiership winning lock and England international...

Havent even mentioned the other great young talent we have on the books that show great signs of potential that most other clubs would dream to have.

Now go and have a look at the Dragons roster and pick the stars out. We are BLESSED to have this team to support yet the attitude and the application is all off. If we didn't have this talent at our disposal, I'd shut up and ride the roller-coaster like the other teams not called Storm and Penriff do. We are better than most and that's why we have high standards.

Off of current viewing and what we have tossed up in the last 2 years, we will not win the comp or fulfill the potential of this generational talent roster. Am I saying we can't win the comp. NO. If I knew that, why would I watch? I and a lot of others are saying some tough conversations need to be had, attitude needs to change and game plan needs to improve. The coach needs to own up to a few things and unleash the team we know we can be.

Sorry for long post but the fact some people think proper Chooks fans don't like seeing the team succeed are delusional and sad. Btw beating the Dragons by 1pt is not succeeding based off what I've said above. Some people will never get it though.

that's a bit subtle for me. we will not win the comp but we can win it?

robbo has a good track record. yes he hasn't won the comp every year but he's got a good track record and every chance he gets the team humming sooner rather than later

Object of the exercise was to obtain 2 points which was achieved.

Sure they should not have been in that position to have to win the game twice which was self inflicted.

If you miss 40 or more tackles in a game Coaches won't be happy but 40 in one half maybe some sort of record - not one that you want to have though.

Who replaces Toops who could be out for 3 to 8 weeks if grade 1 or 2 or 3 months or so if a grade 3 hamstring strain or tear

Billy Smith won't be ready one assumes having only played 40 minutes of footy in his return

I assume Allan will be considered and possible Pauga and Katoa

Teams will make errors But some of todays errors are very easily fixed Particularky giving penalties away whilst in possession like we did on two occasions today both led to tries yo Dragons One in the second half completely completely changed the trajectory of the game

                                All very true

But it’s Anzac Round and all games have been close… only one went 13+ despite a number of teams jumping out to big leads

So wouldn’t be too hard on them today… had we lost in the end that would be another matter
