How in the hell did the pitch invader get as long on the field as he did and how did he get to grab one of the players?

I’ve never such a slower bunch of security guards. The bloke was in the centre of the field before they got off their arses to chase him. He didn’t even try to run from them and they still hardly caught him!

Security were probably worried, like all law enforcement officers in these woke times, that if they touched the perpetrator it would be seen as brutality and they'd be jailed themselves or sued for all their worldy belongings.

They should replace security (and police) with social workers, who can follow them around interviewing them about why they feel the need to invade the pitch, and whether we can all do anything to help them not do it in future.

I've previously worked in the industry and most security officers are merely shirt fillers that are not competent. One of my last security jobs before leaving the industry saw my employer at the time lose a full time 7 day a week contract because one of my colleagues went into the backroom of the office building we were working in and would sleep for long periods of time in front of a camera, when he wasn't sleeping he would apparently speak to his family from overseas on the phone instead of working.

Management of the building saw their security officer sleeping on the job and received reports that he would talk on the phone all night and pulled the plug on having security in that building which is a shame because I was working there at the time and did not sleep/talk on the phone but also lost my job.

Anyway, from my history 90% of them suck and the 10% of them that are good quickly get demotivated. Best to get the cops involved when you actually need something to be done past observing and reporting...

Mate, did you see some of the Security at the ground ?? Old ladies and dudes with a BMI of 485.....wtf are either of these going to do. Even escorting him off the field only one person had a hold of him lol, he could have got away again at any time. It was an embarrassment

We were in tier two behind the northern posts and at half time there was this humungous lardy basto security fella playing up to the crowd. I remember my mate saying “what’s he gonna do? Needless to say, he was unsighted when he young bloke took his shirt off and ran out for his 30 seconds of fame. Must have tripped over his own guts with his first step in pursuit!

It's the woke world we live in today, you see..where masculinity is classed as toxic and is being phased out in favour of boys playing with dolls instead of toy guns and tanks.
Big, tough, muscular, fit and fast security guards chasing and pouncing on pitch invaders, riding them into the ground then tying them up and dragging them off the field...imagine that...the "everyone in the world is a lovely person" brigade would go 'nutz'.
