  • Ladder position.

Firstly well done to the boys for a hard fought and gritty win today.
Secondly, we should all be very optimistic for the rest of the season. Considering we have looked clunky and have struggled in areas so far this season, we are now in 5th position and only two points away from the Broncos in 1st.

The most exciting thing is we have the most upside and improvement out of any club. Teams like the Broncos, Sharks and Bunnies are already playing their best 2023 footy and wont improve all that much over the remaining rounds.

I’m looking forward to us clicking and building combos over the next few rounds and true to Robbo style coming home strong to push for another title.

I'd like to jag at least one win against the Riff in the coming weeks.

Weird that we have negative for and against and still somehow in the top 4 and ahead of the panthers who are +72.

On the other hand we are only 2 points ahead of the raiders in 11th so it’s an incredibly close comp so far this year.

Definitely beatable but throw JFH and Liam Martin back in that team and they are a totally different beast.

Pretty happy where we sit and it's a bit surprising as we arent exactly playing attractive football

We get troops back and now we've lost Toops, Momirovski and who knows how Smith is

Certainly in a position to build on the season and we should win 2 of our next 3 going into the bye

Yes it’s the closest comp I have seen in years
the top sides have come back abit while lower sides picked up good players - I suppose the idea of the salary cap
would love to get at least one win v Penrith as we haven’t had one for a while
the riff have had no injury issues for 3 years and this year it’s showing with a few out they are not used to having to play with multiple injuries
In the end it’s the most luck in terms of injuries which can win or loose your a title
in 2021 we would have won with the full squad
hard to believe we finished 5th with 5 of the top 17 there at end of season. Shows you how the comp is alot stronger now. A loss or two can drop you from 4th to 12th

IMO if we beat the Cows, Riff, Dragon and bye then we're gonna hit round 14 (Doggies) in a terrific position.

I prefer to take it one game at a time but if that were to happen We could even be top of the table

i think a few on here need to hold their horses so to speak ...i believe cronulla, souffs, melba, parra and especially penrith have their best footy in front of them and despite a solid win we are going to have to improve significantly and i mean very significantly to be there on gf day . even teams like canberra and manly may still have a say .

The same could be said about us. I rate our best performance a 6/10. I believe we can improve significantly! We also have a coach that has won 3 comps in 10 seasons. Robbo knows how to prepare a team when they're ripe.

Top 4 is essential for a premiership however.

I think since 1972, when the top 5/6/8 semi finals system started only ONE team has won from the bottom section (ie outside the top 4 equivalent) and that was 1995 Canterbury Bulldogs. So in 51 years, it's happened only once. I'm Captain Obvious here.

This year is so close. 2018 was also another year where only 2 points separated first from eighth.

Could this be the year a team outside the 4 win?
