Blah blah blah.....we still would be equal 3rd and not out of the 8 as your maths suggested.

Plus with a chance of getting an extra 2 points that the two teams above us wouldn't have. Is that better?

If they didn't have the bye they would be playing one of the other 16 teams though and would obtain 2 competition points if they won that game plus a boost to their for and against.

The bye only guarantees a team 2 points which is the same 2 points that teams playing in that round receive if they win their game.

It's not an extra 2 points as some seem to think it is.

You may well be better off having your byes earlier than having one of the byes in the latter rounds especially if for and against may come into play in determining where teams finish on the competition ladder for top 8 spots.

Yes you get 2 points but you cannot improve your for and against.

Teams your competing with for a top 8 position may play teams who can't make the 8 and rack up sizeable wins whereas when you played such sides they may have been still competitive at that point of the season.

Pass on responding to the conspiracy theory about referees

August 2019. We should have got them last season out at Penrith though

I think not getting two points for a bye would just simplify the ladder.

I’m not so sure about that. Not getting 2 points still skews the ladder, possibly even more than getting the 2.

By the end of the season everyone has the same number of byes and played the same amount of games. What’s not fair is that all teams do not play each other twice. That has the potential to skew the ladder and the for and against results far more than getting 2 points for a bye IMO.

mum confused how you think we would gain ladder positions by taking 2 points away from us?

Remove our bye 2 points, and we would sit on 10 points. That would see us overtaken by warriors and dolphins and drop 7th due to our terrible for and against. I was wrong about us sliding out since Penrith and manly would also need to have 2 taken off them for having the bye also (taking 2 points off anyone above us can’t help us).

we don’t have a chance of getting an extra 2 points. The teams who have not yet had the same number of byes as us will get those points.

effectively you have to just start everyone on 6, then take 2 away each time a team has a bye. Points for the bye is dumb as hell

That's all you had to say.

You wanted to find a negative on us being equal 2nd and 2 points off top spot and you got it wrong.

                    Your explanations are drivel.
