Tansey - waste of time flop
    Sonny Tuiga - epic flop
Sisa Waqa - flopping off balcony flop
Daniel Conn - Con job flop it out to any chic flop
Drunkard Carney - flop over and hit the pavement flop

POS is an epic flop. Everyone will more than half a brain knows we need a quality centre and yet he has failed to deliver. Anyone who thinks he has done a good job here at easts is clearly deluded.
bloody hell some people on here. When we pull out his already effective work with the juniors we get hounded down because not all juniors convert so what the hell do you guys want. Do you think the role of a recruitment manager is to buy the best player in the comp. Maybe i should have a go or you rocky. We need a centre, inglis. fullback, slater oh wait, osullivan brought all those through the junior ranks what a fool he is. I cant remember the last time we had 3 players in the Australian schoolboys team and considering cordner is injured, it should have been 4. Thats a massive inclusion and great effort. We have practically won both the sg ball and harold matts twice since he has come here and all the juniors that have been brought into first grade so far have been great - jones, friend, symonds etc. In a couple of years these 'flops' will be tops. People that make comments like that generally have never watched a game of junior footy in their lives or worse, evaluate a team by a score sheet and thus would rate players like wolfman, brett stewart etc. Cmon mate recruitment manager is more than splurging on stars. He is doing a bloody brilliant job if you ask me. Our junior ranks have never looked so good and he has only been here for two years. He just signed us the best young prop in the game being JWH and we are likely to get burgess from the ESL who is a 20 year old prop in the morely mould who has already played 3 internationals and 80 games of first grade. Enter boyd cordner who i reckon has the potential to be the best forward in the game plus friend, williamson, jones, symonds, blair. farout what the hell is good recruitment to you. There is think called a salary cap and i dont see the point in having a recruitment manager if as you seem to suggest you just sign every superstar in sight.

On your examples, Waqa actually has the potential to be great he isnt quite being nurtured right and is still adjusting, conn is actually a player that if he hadnt had so many injuries would be a really good forward but i doubt most of you have ever seen him play and considering he doesnt have a beard or anything like that to attract attention to him then no suprises there. And with tansey, what the hell did he do wrong? i actually thought he was pretty good for us. All of these blokes were bargain buys and came because we didnt manage to lure gordon, mead etc who you are seeing in first grade have heaps of ability who osullivan wanted. We also were frontrunners for josh morris and brett morris but didnt have sufficient funds for josh and look how good he is going this year. Thats pretty good talent identifiaction if you are too ignorant to accept the fact that he built the storm from the bottom up

Exactly. Sonny Tuigamala and Sisa Waqa weren't our first choices - we chased Kevin Gordon, who would have been an outstanding signing to be honest, but we missed out unfortunately. Mead is good but not great, was nowhere near a standout in the NYC last year where Sonny arguably played better than him.

This season, there are a fair few more speedster wingers coming through, like Jharal Yow Yeh, Kane Morgan, Michael Fualalo, Joe Vickery, Matt Duffie, Josh Jerome, Dane Gagai and Drury Low, as well as some great centres like Taiolo Vaivai, Blake Davey, Kane Linnett, Siuatonga Likiliki, Daniel Vidot, Gerard Beale and Dale Copley.

Plenty of top quality youth to pick from if O'Sullivan wants added depth to support our own talent prospects like Blair, Williamson, Waqa, etc.

lol...A bloody brilliant job alright. Last in all 3 grades or thereabouts.

Face it, you are Clueless with a capital C if you think that is acceptable. Who cares about park football SC ball blah blah.

We had an undefeated third grade team in 2004 and yet only one player is playing first-grade for us. Park footy is irrelevant at this club.

Every team has a salary cap so stop using that as an excuse for incompetence.

he built the storm from the bottom up

What part of my quote don't you understand?

Well if he can't attract the players he wants to get then he is failing at his job. I too can identify the best players but if he doesn't get them here then what's is the point.

We need to attract established players not youth that may be good in 3 to 5 yrs time. The dogs turned around only based on established stars like Kimmorley, Ennis, stagg, eastwood, hannatt and Goodwin not joe bloggs from under 20's.

Peter O'Sullivan is a Conn job, a fraud.

Wheres this come from the idea that POS got kids for the SG BAll side ?
**** me dead next you will say he picked the kids for Harold Matts too.

The Roosters washed their hands of both
Roosters had nothing to do with SG Ball and HArold Matts.
Newtown ran the SG Ball and basically Bondi/Clovelly ran the HMS

Try and be serious and you will look stupid

so what your suggesting is that the roosters cant sign any players under 18 because 'newtown' are our feeder club. Interesting how any of the half decent players in those sides ie blair, williamson last year, cordner are all contracted to the roosters. the newtown jumper is just a jumper and gives us a wider junior feeder system thats it.

Rocky, out of curiosity you tell me what you think osullivan or a recruitment manager should be doing? for me, the results are nothing. he himself has said that its just about development NOT results. We spend the whole cap on 6 or 7 brilliant youngsters and the rest are average instead of having a couple brilliant players and the rest average who wont convert to first grade. That is proved by the fact that when we had our miracle run in the NYC of old ie flegg, practically noone out of that amazing side bar maybe a couple are actually brilliant because we built a good young side who work well as a team but to cut the grade you have to be good individually above all else. Thats our focus and i couldnt give a crap about who wins the NYC its firsts that matters.

You say something like that and expect to be taken seriously.
Results are everything in todays professional game. This is not a three legged sack race.

A winning team is a happy team. Just look at the Roosters and dogs this yr and last and all their related problems. Losing teams are unhappy teams. Results are everything.

All contracts for players that were going to play SG Ball and Harold Matts and not U20this year were torn up.
This is because the Roosters did not field teams in these competitions this year.
They did this as a cost saving exercise.

What I am saying is you can't say tha the juniors are sucessful when the Roosters cut those teams, Newtown are struggling and the U20s are a load of egotistical crap.
