  • Do you think match results should be changed?

In the golden point match where the ref missed a knock on by Canberra how is that fair to the Dolphins? I believe a 30 all draw should have been awarded post match due to a clear mistake by the ref. Instead, the door is being left open for further breaches. So the ref, linesman and bunker missed it? Someone should be held accountable and Canberra should not be getting the two points. It was not a legitimate win. Imagine if that happened in a knock out final with us roosters losing and the illegitimate winner went on to win the GF. Also, souths should have been docked two points.

It sucks but no results should not be getting changed because of it.

Incorrect calls have been part of the game since 1908 and I don’t foresee that ever changing.

Andrew Webster spoke really well post game on this topic after our game, said there’s nothing he could do about the ruling on Tupouniua for a shoulder charge but there is plenty they could’ve done to stop him from scoring a try a set later.

Mistakes and errors happen. They missed Teddy's knock on too. Should we be penalized after the game??? I think we just have to accept the human factor.

No as that would surely open a can of worms as all games would have to be scrutinised from start to finish for any points scored after match officials may have missed something - i.e knock on . incorrect play the ball etc etc

These things happen in a split second and on field judgement calls are made without the benefit of replays and slomo's

Match officials like players make mistakes the same as they have since 1908 - It's the Human Element.

Souths should not be docked points as the 14 players on the field for the period of time in question had no impact on the game or the result.

Be different if they had 14 players on the field and they scored a converted try to win the game - ie Canterbury vs Penrith game in 2009 - Dogs scored a converted try to win the match 28-26 with 14 players on the field and the 2 points were deducted and not awarded to Penrith

I’m still upset about the blatant forward pass in the lead up to Ray Brannigan’s try for Manly in the 1972 Grand Final. Do you think we can get the game result overturned?

Yes it might open a can of worms but the competence of linesman at the very least needs to be looked at and if the bunker saw it then they should have been able to alert the ref.

There are at least 10 incorrect decisions in general play made in every game, all of which could affect the outcome.

The only way I can entertain this is if it happened on the very last play of the game after the siren where no more play could have occurred

What about the one for Canterburys opening try in the 1980 GF I still lose sleep over that one

I don't want the bunker anymore involved than what it already is.

So am I. That was blatant corruption throughout the entire match.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Absolutely not because Maloney’s pass to Anthony Minichiello was a mile forward in the 2013 GF. Manly then win.

Yet they didn't even look at the obstruction in the lead up to the first Manly try....Roosters still win!
