We will be buying someone to replace him !! Look at our record of bringing through halves, it's atrocious

I have a gut feeling that Luke Brooks will be the one, hope I'm wrong.

I’d rather have Hutch at half.

Brooks is bad but still 10 times better than the Handbrake.

            You're kidding hahaha. No chance.

It would be Ben Hunt or Munster.

            • Remember when we were linked to Moses and Nick and Robbo completely rubbished it and then backed Sam, only to drop him about 2 weeks later... seem's a bit suss.

              • Obviously they have decided we need an old head as half, someone who can be like a coach ON the field, doing what the actual coach doesn't seem to be able to do. Better put the new half in charge of selections as well, otherwise nothing will change.

                • "Sam Walker has been shopped to Wayne Bennett's Dolphins".

"Baker is going to Broncos, 2 years, bidding war, Roosters salary cap not enough to keep him."
                  Daily Tele today.

                  Charming.
Well that was another big waste of time with development.
                  Lodge is going.
                  Baker is going.
"Big is not better at Bondi", obviously.
Makes you wonder just who is getting all the cap money at Bondi.
                  Baker will be joining:
                  Haas
                  Carrigan
                  Capewell
                  Riki
                  in the Broncos pack.

Why aren't we releasing Suaalii and keeping Baker?

You are correct, development a complete waste of time because we just extend veterans at the expense of our future. How can Brisbane retain all that developing talent and add Baker but we are always under cap pressure? Ahh yes veterans on the way out getting kept ahead of emerging talent.

                    • I forgot to add, I am so glad we built that academy to supply the rest of the comp.

                      • I keep reading that Walker is being "shopped". Is that just a poor choice of words? Because his manager isn't allowed to "shop" him without the club's permission. So then the question is whether the club has given permission but haven't bothered to tell us? I'm sure they're aware through the extensive comments on every social media platform available that Walker is a crowd favourite, is seen as the key to the club's future and a few supporters will definitely walk away from the Roosters in disgust if Walker goes (or is allowed to go) in such murky circumstances. Even I have to say that this whole business has left a very bad taste in my mouth. It's not even about Walker anymore - well, it's a bit about not wanting to lose such a prodigious talent for seemingly no reason, but it's more about the club straight-up lying about what's going on. If Walker leaves after giving a club-sanctioned interview basically saying, "All good, everything's good, nothing to see here", there will be fallout and given what people are saying elsewhere (it's been pretty measured here by comparison) it will probably be bigger and nastier than the club was anticipating.

yes it is a poor, perhaps sensationalist use of words. the roosters are the only ones who are in a position to 'shop' him (they employ him) but there's been no credible report that the roosters are interested in getting rid of him. quite the opposite. zero tackle used that headline but their story said that he might have been 'shopped' by someone inside walker's 'camp'.

                          • So much uncertainty and depressing news around the club lately. Hopefully this rubbish about Sam meeting with Bennett is all crap. I will be very upset if we let him go.

Completely agree! I feel like the last week has been a massive anti Roosters media campaign.
