  • Master coach has been blessed with a gun roster for most years since 2013,a roster most coach’s would dream to have..

So what does he decide to do?
He decides to experiment with players playing out of position and turns a Ferrari backline into a Datsun..

I’m sorry but this shit is on the Coach!

I don't think he's stubborn, I believe he comes to his opinions with a lot of thought and therefore has a lot of conviction in them and isn't easily swayed.

I remember the same criticism being levelled at him for being stubborn for persisting with players like Mitch Aubusson, Jake Friend & Lindsay Collins.

Is it stubbornness or are you just dismayed that he doesn't share the same opinion as you? Ever considered neither of you are stubborn you just both share a difference of opinion?

I know Robinson's opinion on Sam Walker and I put it to you that the regard he holds him in, if he was stubborn he wouldn't have dropped him.

You can be right/wrong without being stubborn, the two are not mutually exclusive.

      • A talented bunch of strangers who took the Cowboys too easy, which was always a chance after we won last week and they got flogged.
Our blokes thought the just had to run out to win.
The Cowboys wanted it much more than us and they won with a less talented squad who turned up and played hard.
We have been in Queensland all week, flew there direct from Auckland..... looks like the boys enjoyed the holiday.
Seriously it's hard to watch the bumbling rabble, no excuses, they just don't want it enough to do the hard work, they want to take the easy option, they want to play flashy, when they have proven they do have the TEAMWORK to do that.

          • The only positive i could take out of the game is that Billy Smith got through unscathed and i thought he played well also. Sitili looked good when he was on and Angus gave his all.
Surely that is the end of the Manu at 5/8 experiment, straight back to centre and Walker back in the halves. Suaalii is not a centre, back to wing for him or release him now to union.
That would be one of the most inept performances i have ever seen from the Roosters.

              • The Cowboys kicking game was certainly a factor in the second half as was the Roosters error count - The old wet weather game plan kick early and kick often and force your opposition into errors when rucking the ball out from their end.

2 Cowboy tries from kicks - the grubber in goal looked a 50-50 call and the fortunate bounce of the ball from the kick that landed near the side line.

Cowboys were certainly up for and focused on this game with a 10 day lead up to this game.

Billy was terrific first game back in the top grade. The only highlight really.

He must be one of he rare players who misses massive amounts of game time due to injury yet always plays great on his first game back,it’s not the first time..

                          So impressive Billy..

Of course they played well but the Roosters were still inept.

Except when he gave away a dumb penalty by dragging the Cows player over the sideline, giving the Cows field position and 6 tackles.
                                ...thereby contributing to our downfall.
