Winning the ruck demands something like an even go from game managers - hard to win the ruck when one team allowed to be as slow as they like getting off tackled player and the other is constantly marched back downfield for doing exactly the same.

No wonder Souffs look so confident ATM - another 10-7 penalty count to them last night (like every week) and they are free to play the game the way they want to. Plus Latrell allowed to elbow blokes in the head at will (it's the vibe, as Albo says).

We play like a side jumping straight off tackled player, constantly looking over our shoulders trying to avoid being penalized - and being penalized anyway. We're also scared to tackle anyone above the waist or below the hips - either will result in a sin bin.

There's a lot to worry about in any game we play due to the game managers take on things.
But still we have to win games like this.
North QLD have been ordinary this year, and they're not at full strength.

Swarleehi is more of a concern defensively than Hutch. He’s got no idea. You’d think someone was running away with his cheque book the way he panics.

He will fit in quite nicely with his rah rah mates with said defence.

Whilst I pray robbo sees the light and selects Billy smith in centres, that ground is never a good surface. Worse with so many matches in so few days. I hope he gets through today with no injuries

I also hope Turpin plays ahead of the tugboat in front of his family

We have arguably the worst kicking game in the comp, with the I assume the most il disciplined.
If our back three and forwards are not effective, then we will not be in positions to score points

Souths are playing a different sport to us at the moment, mainly because their style compliments their players.

No team giving away countless penalties, six agains and sends off’s can ever find their style and build on it.

( yes, Roosters have won comps with shit discipline, but not in the 6 again era )

Starting to get quite disappointed in him. For the games next big thing and all the hype that went with it, I don’t think we’ve seen anything overly spectacular other than in very rare patches occasionally. I’m seeing some youngsters at other clubs that appear to be tearing it up. I’m not sure Yawnion is going to make him a better Leaguie either.

I'm chomping at the bit to see who's playing where today. Cows are vulnerable. We should lap them!

Swahili could play in clown shoes and a onsie and still be 10 times better than the Handbrake, but I agree he is wasted in the centres and should be right wing.

Dry track today with a relatively full strength squad gives me a lot of confidence in a big win..

I know right? He's had 14 ACL ruptures and THIS is the playing surface he makes his return on?? After it's been cut up already by 6 games played on it?

Souths have "hole-runners off Cody Walker".
                            We need the same thing.
"Hole-runners off Luke Keary, Joey Manu, or Sam Walker".
Off somebody, we are not scoring enough points.

if we defend like we did against the Worriers , then the boys have got this

Since his move to centres he's been very ordinary - but appears to be a good goal kicker - however I think he's been hyped for us to expect more than an Ivan Cleary style goal kicking centre!

Bloody hell, if he's worth 1.8M a year to Rugby, what would Reece Walsh be worth?? That guy is the best player in the game now.
