No wonder Souffs look so confident ATM - another 10-7 penalty count to them last night (like every week) and they are free to play the game the way they want to. Plus Latrell allowed to elbow blokes in the head at will (it's the vibe, as Albo says).

We play like a side jumping straight off tackled player, constantly looking over our shoulders trying to avoid being penalized - and being penalized anyway. We're also scared to tackle anyone above the waist or below the hips - either will result in a sin bin.
    Seems to be.
Club should be compiling a dossier...to use in the court case.

Souths are playing a different sport to us at the moment, mainly because their style compliments their players.

No team giving away countless penalties, six agains and sends off’s can ever find their style and build on it.

( yes, Roosters have won comps with shit discipline, but not in the 6 again era )
Totally agree. So many tries are scored from a grubber these.days. It also puts the opposition in 2 minds. All we have is a bomb to the corners which is no longer effective.

The wet weather last weekend restricted attacking football which helped our defence but the warriors have been strong all year and I liked the way we kept repelling them on our line.
There's been a lot of points scored this weekend and free flowing footy and an open game has been the mantra so we'll really have to watch our discipline with Klein in charge. He seems to find leg ups around the 35 metre line late in the count so the boys just have to make sure they don't give him an opportunity to ping us.
Cowboys have been down this year so I think we can get over the top of them in the middle of the ruck and the class of Teddy, Keary and Manu get us home.
          Easts to win

Yes, and lots of pseudo-flops where a player comes and puts his weight on the tacklers when they're already on the ground going unpenalised. Same thing happened to us on ANZAC Day, yet we'd get penalised if we breathed on them!

Hoping we come through unscathed. Not getting too excited about our backline, but I'm confident they'll give it their all and hopefully come out winners against the Cows, who no doubt will play their best game of the year so far and get a fair deal from the re.......................................BUGGER... .Ashley (keep the home crowd happy except if it's the Roosters) is in charge!

Dry track, day match sets the right scene for us to play the up tempo, power game. Should be too good for the Cowboys today and make it 3 straight wins.

Will help if Billy comes in though to give us strike on both sides of the park.

Our defence last week set a top standard. If thats our benchmark now, we are on the right trajectory.

Fast and flashy football is pretty and exciting to watch, but it must be used sparingly and only at the appropriate moments when the opportunity is clearly present. Too many times I have watched the team thinking that each and every play is the miracle play. Too many times I have watched the team depending on a miracle play to win the game. If we can constantly defend without error and only strike when the iron is hot, nothing will stop us.

We should win this easily and my only real concern is injuries from playing on a pre-blended ground.

                Go Easts!

Talks of an easy win is just that talk

I expect the Cowboys to be right up for this game as they are a very good football team and one hopes the Roosters have prepared well for this match on that basis and go into the match with a clear focus of putting together the illusive 80 minute performance.

Nailing the basics in D and Offense is the key with all 17 contributing.

Games are not won or lost on paper- they are won and lost on the day

If we score 42 points I might have a heart attack thru sheer excitement.
Cows are no mugs, have any good players.
