And no it most definitely wasn't a must win game. We are 4pts off first, 2pts off second, that's the privilege I'm talking about..
Really? Because I think our roster is the best of all NRL clubs right now..

Who has better roster right now? Take away form, because form wise we are well down the pecking order.

Had a look at the line up from 2 to 5 recently? Nothing elite about that

Sums us up IMO... wouldn't be surprised if we beat the Riff after such a pathetic showing.

We're an emotional team, which is part of why I love us. That stupid 'Magic Round' cr@p put us off our game. when we shoulda won by 30+

Funny as f**k Carlos Parra ! I needed the laugh after that performance.

Seriously inept, players playing out of position, out-enthused, out-bustled, out-muscled. It's like trying to build a house and having the brickie doing the plumbing, the plumber doing the electrical and the homeowner laying bricks. Keary is not a halfback. Manu is not a five-eighth. Suaalii is not a centre and Brandon Smith is playing busted.

Meanwhile, the Francophile wants to know what sort of footy side we are? Good lord, this is not a dress rehearsal, this is the real thing! Yes, I know he's won three premierships and I know he knows more about footy than a bloke like me ever will. I know it's Round 10. Hell, I even admit that my anger might have overcome my good sense. But to my eyes, that was very poor and the selections are likely at the heart of the issue. Flame away if you want. I got it off my chest and it feels good.

OK, so now the positives. Billy Smith was superb. So good to see him back! Collins was brutal in contact. Sitili was dangerous on both sides of the ball. Tedesco tried hard (but was ineffective) and the Cheese tried to bring the intensity we were missing. It's only Round 10, there's a heap of talent in this team and they will click at some stage.

            Come on Roosters!

And we should be entitled to that privilege with our roster. Other teams have faltered which is keeping us in it. Nothing to do with us achieving. We are costing ourselves. As you say, we are only a win or two off but we should have those wins already.

Losing they games you should win is what costs you heading into the finals. Same as last year.

                    I disagree.

Brisbanes roster isn’t great, none of their spine players are top 5 in their position, but they are in fine form no doubt.

Id also take our roster over South’s on face value. They are just getting the best out of their players. Something we are miserably failing at.

Current form is influencing your decision. At the start of the season, before a ball was kicked we were favourites. Why, because we have the best team on paper. Our form is horrendous and Robbo is at the forefront of that.

Exactly. It’s what had hurt as in the past and some on here forget that.

We don’t want to be chasing points and battering our team late just to maybe sneak into the top 4. We want to be sitting comfy and getting on top of any niggles and perfecting combos.

If he ran out the team as it should it stacks up against the best teams.

                        2. Suuali
                        3. B Smith
                        4. Manu
                        5. Paulo (Tupou when fit)

I think Souths and Penrith have better rosters.

Player for player we may have the best roster but I had questions going into the season about our halves combination and I didn't think Brandon Smith was necessarily going to be a good fit. The balance of the squad is off and I think we are missing some talented youngsters in the backs coming through who could provide depth.

                          A very generalised and basic overview;

                          Outside backs 8/10
                          - Very good group of starters but big drop off from the starters to next best.

                          Spine 6.5/10
                          - Individually the starting 4 are great players but I don't see how they gel. Lacking an organiser and service out of dummy half is questionable. Depth at fullback is world class, depth in the halves and dummy half is worrisome.

                          Forwards 8.5/10
Very good group of forwards, quality in all starting positions and genuine depth across the board.

Player for player is what I mean. Ours is the best - I can’t be convinced otherwise.

No gelling is definitely an issue but that’s what happens when you chop and change.

To me (& I know many others agree) it’s really simple.
Bring back Walker, Manu to centre, Suuali to wing & Turpin to the bench.

As for our halves rating, they were absolutely flying at the back end of last year and no one was worried about them then.
