  • So who is too blame???

What a rabble of a team, my opinion for what its worth are Robbo and Cronk, Robbo needs to swallow his pride, take the chip off his shoulder and get Walker baack in, Robbos only downfall as a coach is his stubbornness to admit defeat.

secondly Cronk, this guy has escaped criticism, he is the halves coach, he is supposed to implement the structures for game day, our attack has been dismal at best, his commentating is getting in the way of his judgement, today in commentary he was so complimentary of the cows saying they were back, they were great blah blah blah, instead of saying it as it is, we had no structure, we were a rudderless ship, Manu is no 5/8 and him being there makes Teddys game redundant

i just cant work out whats going on at the club atm,

Questions should be asked of Cronk, no doubt.

My problem with Cronk as a coach is this:

Cronk is a genuine intellectual. A really smart guy. But 'smart' doesnt always translate into results.

Footy players aren't that smart. Cronk was an anomaly - he was not physically gifted, why he was so good is because he was always one step ahead mentally of everyone else on the paddock.

It is very possible that that can't be 'translated' or replicated to your average footy player. At least not translated by Cronk.

Cronk might be best suited to the engine room, with the spreadsheets and such.

Sammy Walker and Luke Keary are pretty smart themselves. Transferring information isn't the issue. Its the execution. Our attack seems quite predictable

          We have the players.

It is up to the coaching staff to get the best out of them

IMO the finger has to be pointed at the coaching staff as a whole

Our problem is we have too many people in our side that think they deserve to be playing different positions than what is best for the team.

sualli Should be wing, but prefers centre and wants to be fullback.

manu should be centre but prefers 6 and wants to be fullback.

Robbo has indulged these two players by giving them tackles at fullback throughout our attacking sets…. To the determinant of our actual fullback who is a superior player to either of them and the best fullback in the world.

we are 9 rounds into the season and as yet I haven’t seen us run a single ****ing set move to get teddy into a hole. We’ve run outside in balls to bloody Egan Butcher and Radley, but none to teddy. Instead teddy basically has to just go looking for the ball and try to make things happen himself.

The scapegoating of Walker is also just a disgrace. Wants him to “work on him game”, as though that’s possible in reserve grade for a half, but then also demands he travel with the squad to magic round so he can’t even do that? He’s clearly chasing him out of the club.

Robbo should have made the tough decision to **** Manu off to play his favoured position somewhere else and saved that money for forward stocks. Sualli clearly should not have been extended, as his almost immediate signing with the ARU afterwards proved he is just here to secure his income for a couple seasons til the rugby boys are ready to pay him. Now we have like 30% of our cap tied up across our 1-5, and it’s killed our depth.

Excellent point Danish. I think this is a massive problem.
