I couldn’t agree more. The game has become a farce and has been going downhill slowly for decades; the current administration have just accelerated the process. Rule changes every year, crackdowns on this and that, over-officiating, the farking bunker, etc. I miss the 80’s so much.
On top of this crap we have all the bullshit happening at the Roosters and our ongoing underperformance. No wonder I drink too much.

I thought it was a great game personally, really enjoyed it.

Loved the forward battle, ball movement was slick and at pace, had a good amount of tension all game, some of the scramble defence was ridiculous and there were some really interesting tactics being deployed. Melbourne's shooters in defence on Brisbane's props was a really interesting tactic.

The Carrigan hip drop pentalty and subsequent sin bin was an absolute joke and did ruin the contest a bit but I had no real issues with the other sin bins.

4 sin bins also paints a bit of a false narrative, two of those sin bins were in the final minutes when the game was over and the players were just looking for a fight.

The hip drop has become a bit of a farce and they need to redefine what they're actually looking for because the definition has become too broad.

I switched off after the first sin bin when the Storm player brushed the defender and took an acrobatic dive - he was also no chance of getting near the ball which sailed well dead. The bunker will use any excuse to get involved and influence games. Previously, I thought the penalty try was pretty soft too - Storm player barely touched him.

Wasn't the score 10-10 with 25 to go when Carrigan was binned for a phantom hip drop?

And in those 10mins the Storm kicked a penalty goal and scored a try.

That bullshit bogus hip drop sin bin decided the game.

It totally ruined the contest. Not just a bit.
