And in those 10mins the Storm kicked a penalty goal and scored a try.

That bullshit bogus hip drop sin bin decided the game.

It totally ruined the contest. Not just a bit.
Yeh but by that point I think it was already evident that Melbourne were going to take it home, they bombed a couple of tries and Brisbane were struggling without Reynolds, Mam wasn't offering much in terms of direction and they had pretty much left it up to Walsh to make all the big plays on the back of 5 forward carries.

It ruled out the possibility of that miracle which is why i said it only ruined the contest a bit, IMO anyway.

I was more impressed with the Broncos. I think they would've caned the Storm had Reynolds not got injured. Hughes played well! Munster is in a form slump imo.

Walsh is a freak. He.just needs to wind it back a touch and be more selective with his plays. He could be anything!

Problem with the Broncos is you can just see how overly reliant they are on Adam Reynolds. Without him they get nothing from the likes of Walters or Mam in terms of organising and directing the side.

I thought Brisbanes forward pack did a very good job though.

I didn't watch the game but it does seem to happen every season now, the first few rounds are quite good and then officialdom decide to have a crackdown on something and match after match become borderline unwatchable due to penalties and sin bins heavily influencing the result, it's a shame.

Was it Sutton in the bunker? He was appalling!! So many bad decisions (and non-decisions). The no-try to Coates was bad, but teh Ref had blown teh whistle, so they couldn't then award it, but still giving the Bronco's the scrum feed afterwards? So crap.

The standard of officiating in the game is dreadful, not helped by the constant tweaks to rules and interpretations.

2 5hit teams played at a 5hit stadium by a 5hit ref. Drongos must need a bigger paper bag. the games fcuked at the moment

So Carrigan has avoided suspension for his hip drop tackle last night. Fair enough. BUT WHY THE FU@K was Nat Butcher suspended than. Surely Carrigan's was worse. Or has PvL changed the rules again to accommodate the Qld viewers?

Not to mention you can't even have villains that opposition fans boo now because its apparently racist and robbo gets triggered.
                      Perfectly said. Couldn't agree more.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.
