Does anyone know genuinely what's the thought behind JS at centre? We have two great centres and are lacking a winger. Suaalii looked good defensively on the wing and can utilise his hard carries and height. I'm missing something

      Your not missing anything.

It's our coach who is missing something in persisting in playing him there due to whatever reason.

Maybe today's team sheet will make sense.

        Nope, he’s still there.

I’d like very much to know who’s our ball skills coach that is if we have one. Our ball handling both passing and catching is atrocious and been getting worse. Who’s going to train the boys to hold onto the ball and throw & catch passes because they have no idea?

Those skills should be a given for a first grade NRL player; they shouldn’t need to be coached to catch, pass and hold a ball at this level. Don’t you learn that in Under 7s and have mastered it by around Under 10s?

Not sure I would agree that it is getting worse though based on stats from previous years. - Handling errors and set completions rates become more magnified when points are not being scored as often or as freely as in previous games or seasons

The Roosters handling errors and set completions from 2013 to currently in 2023
              • 2013 - 4th in handing errors (250) - 75 % set completions (6)
              • 2014 - 1st in handling errors (275) - 72 % set completions (14)
              • 2015 - 1st in handling errors (245) - 74% set completions (12)
              • 2016 - 1st in handling errors (239) - 73% set completions (15)
              • 2017 - 2nd in handling errors (234) - 75% set completions (15)
              • 2018 - 2nd in handling errors (241) - 76% set completions (13)
              • 2019 - 1st in handling errors (294)- 75% set completions (14)
              • 2020 - 5th in handling errors (202) - 76% set completions (13) *
              • 2021 - 2nd in handling errors (253) - 75% set completions (16)
              • 2022 - 4th in handling errors (243)- 75 % set completions (14)
              • 2023 - 6th in handling errors (95) - 75% set completions (16) **
              * 20 game regular season
              ** 10 games

There are no stats for how the handling error occurred though - one assumes clubs would record this - be interesting to see the breakdown.

                LOL

Anyone still not sure, and wanting to know what the Roosters have to do, starting now, to get to and remain at, top 4 and win premierships...only has to watch tonite's game...
                BRONCOS V PANTHERS.

Players...Big, Strong, Fast...who can tackle, and also make line breaks....back up to scores tries.

On display in this game will be what we have to do to win games.

Adam O'Brien was the attacking coach when he was there. You could argue our attack has been on the decline since he left.

be interesting this game. see if the ref does all he can again for the drongos. watch their 9 as he cant pass left and nearly all his passes are forward from the ruck to the first receiver

Yes Kez said on 360 that Ryles is in charge of defence and King attack, obviously with Cronk.

                            Here we go...
                            Broncos v Panthers

...the standard we have to reach, the types of players we have to have.
