I’m not sure but am curious to hear the answer to that question.

The whats going on comments all speculative.
Just an observation from last season when Robbo commented on the change in coaching personnel and trainers etc and having to re build. It highly possibly the new coaching staff / assistants don’t gel with Robbo due to ex players influence and loyalty to Robbo and Politis.
The old boy factor is romantic but I’ve never taken to it.
Some of those retirees played with the current playing veterans. It likely a us vs them situation because since the 2016 u/20 win over the riff there hasn’t been any further rookies come thru the romantic academy only has beens on short end contracts and they are too many to mention in the 11 years of Robbo. I coined the Trust in Trent saying but I’ve lost confidence and trust in what he has done lately.
The best year in his career outside of premierships was when he had no choice to use nobody’s during covid footy. I think that’s when the rot started. The following season none of them were given a fair go.

Your team selections are beyond the joke

We are a shadow of our great selves. A star studded team that looks lost.

Just too many red flags from your coaching the last few years.

The players have stopped listening & now most of the fans also.
Agree totally. Surely Uncle Nick knows the solution? Sack the coach!

We can only judge the team on past & current performances & the last 2-3yrs it's clear to see Robbo is in decline & has been overtaken by others with new/fresh ideas on the game.

it appears Robbo hasn't evolved with the rule changes. You cant possibly blame the players on this outright with the squad we have. We aren't the Tigers, Dragons or Knights.

Everything has an expiry date. 11yrs at one sporting organisation is a long time. An injection of new ideas & face's is required.

Change hurts sometimes but is for the better.

It will be a monumental effort if Robbo can change this situation we're in & make us a premiership threat again this year but I just can't see it.
All speculation though without one iota of proof the same as all this nonsense about player body language, player discontent and disharmony.

Unless anyone of us are in the inner circle which none of us are then as Zac put it - it's " all piss and wind ".

Interesting perspective. Something seems to be not quite right within the inner circle.

After the stellar performance V Parra the arse has fallen out. Remarkably, all of the names have dropped form at the same time - Tedddy’s involvement mirrors Turbo’s at Manly and, together with the Halves mess it’s little wonder that the pack is playing it’s own game but I don’t see the pack as the problem after it tamed the Wazzas recently and it tried all night on Friday but couldn’t handle the Riff’s 6.

The halves and Centres problem looks unsolvable because there is presently nobody in reserve. Manu is a great Centre and International level Fullback but he’s shown recently that he’s no great shakes at 6 and Keary has not regained his pre concussion form except in patches. The departure of astute player recruiter O’Sullivan some time ago has left the cupboard bare of any outstanding emerging talent like Volkman was (though he’s submerged at the Warriors, but that’s no surprise).

Hutch is the best choice at 7 atm with Keary back to 6. Compared to other contenders, the Centres minus Manu are mediocre. Looks like the Dogs were right about Corey Allen.

Don't need to be inside any inner circle to see what a mess we are in. It's all out in the open.

                  Season is still salvageable.

What's Robbo got, will the players respond?

Games against Dragons & Dogs will be telling.

Robbo is still running the 2018 playbook. It was creative at the time but the other teams have moved on. We still seem to be running 1 or 2 out then the bomb on the fifth. I think Walker is out of favour because he dared to try something different and, I would say, more contemporary. We lost our heart and soul with the departure of Cordner, Friend, and Aubo. These days we seem to rely heavily on individual mercenaries, some of whom are clearly being played out of position. Robbo is a smart operator but he's just out of ideas.

Politis is an old man. You'd have to think Robbo was the succession plan. Robbo basically IS the footy club.

All that shit he goes on about -trips to battlefields, to Barca FC, centres of excellence - that's more than just a coach.

Like it or not, he's the person who has defined the club's culture this past decade.

You don't just sack that person.
                      You nailed it man.
Robbo is the Roosters not Nick.

OK don't sack him but keep him on the books as a french teacher for any players that want to learn french.

You can't be serious. Robbo would be nowhere without Uncle Nick and the same with our club.

                            I’m serious.
                            Nick listens to Robbo.
Nick has mellowed & let’s Robbo makes all the big decisions.
Nick said the other day that Robbo will make any decisions on Sam Walker.
Nick has a million things going on in his life so when it comes to the Roosters he lets Robbo run it.

I think you're wrong. Nick provides the money, Robbo provides the class.

Funny how when we went to the WCC, took Sam Walker for his personal and team player development, toured the Barcelona FC facilities and Villers-Brettoneux village and memorial, the media and plenty on here couldn't speak highly enough of him - how he was a personal coach as well as a footy coach, an innovator, forward thinker. We've had 1 lean year in the past 10. I think he's earned the privilige to be given time to turn this around. The majority of us on here don't know what goes on in the inner sanctum - as much as some may infer they do. So everything on here is just opinions and you know what they say about opinions!

And although some also think he should steer clear of social commentary, it's the leaders in the community that are sought out for their thoughts. Robbo is obviously considered a leader. IMO to back down from giving those thoughts and opinions is cowardly. It takes strong people to speak out and become the target for those who can only criticise - and most of them from behind the anonymous safety of a keyboard.

And while I'm not happy with the tripe they are dishing up atm and wonder at some of the unusual decisions about team make-up, I'm happy to give it some time. And during that time, pray that it's not the bunnies year!
